updateL. This is the second year I’m using the tree. I have in in a lower floor window and just noticed that looking at it from a disance about 1/3 of one side of the tree has no lights. On the whole, I'm very happy with this tree and it looks very nice sitting on my stand alongside two other 2 ft trees I purchased elsewhere on Amazon. This Vickerman tree has berries, cones, white flocking and lights which so far are all working. I have it on a timer that comes on early morning and night. Admittedly, the berries and cones are a bit sparse and you probably could have purchased a plain prelit tree andput them on yourself. Also, arrange the branches with care because the flocking tends to come off in chunks if handled too roughly. But it's by far the nicest 3ft tree I've seen (It has been impossible to find anything remotely similar in brick&mortar stores). My only con is that the tree trunk is every so slightly tilted and cannot be straigtened from the base. If I allowed it to, it could be an annoyance. But despite these small cons, I'd buy it again. ... show more

    • Not a pretty tree right out of the box

Buyer should be prepared for what will arrive. The tree looks gorgeous here on amazon.com but when it comes to you, it will be a far cry from what you see here. It is flattened, bent about 60 degrees, and inside of a plastic bag...with no instructions on how to make it look like the picture on amazon.com. Sure, it's not hard to figure out that you need to straighten out the main "trunk" of the tree, then straighten out and arrange all of the branches in a pleasing arrangement, but it was not what I expected. As big as the shipping box is, the tree could have arrived ready to use. It took me a good hour to get the tree "fluffed out" and looking somewhat like the picture on amazon.com. The tree I received seemed to be a bit asymmetrical in that all of the berries and white stick things (don't know what they're supposed to be) were mostly on one side of the tree, so I had to twist some of them around so that they would stick out in another spot. The lights are also a bit less than sufficient; I added more. Pros: perfect size for a table top or hearth; very natural looking; charming and whimsical; the base is heavy enough to keep it from tipping over. The final result is a really lovely tree, but it took a lot of work on my part, and that was unexpected. Expect a pretty tree, but don't expect it right out of the box. ... show more

It is as described and I think it's adorable. I chose this one because it was not battery powered. The branches are kind of odd looking so I cut them off.

I got the 3 ft. size. I was a bit hesitant because of all the negative reviews, but those reviews may refer to the smaller (2 ft.) one. The 3 ft. one is very pretty and perfect for a small apartment. Yes, you will have to fluff out the branches when you get it out of the box, but the results are very nice. It's like getting a pre-decorated tree- no need to add anything. The red berries, sticks, and flocking give it a nice country feeling. The lights are "just enough"- not too many. This is a great-looking tree that you can set up in minutes, and you're done. The base is nicely weighted. I anticipate using this tree for many Christmases to come. ... show more

I was very satisfied with this purchase. The tree is full, not skimpy, love the burlap-wrapped base. You will probably want to add a set of lights, but other than that, a good price for a great looking tree. The berries and "snow" covered branches add a lovely touch. The tree could easily be decorated in a rustic, country or cottage style, but I decorated it more "upscale" and it worked great as a centerpiece on my dining table when I added two sets of battery-operated lights to it so I wouldn't have to run an electric cord. ... show more

Beautiful tree but it wasn’t sturdy. Each time I would come into the bedroom and the carpeted floor the tree would be tipped over. Returned it because I didn’t want to worry about it being on my mom‘s dining room table tipping over constantly. If it had the standard legs on them instead of a block holding it up it would’ve been better. Too much money to keep for a tree I couldn’t trust ... show more

I have been searching for several years for a tabletop Christmas tree that didn't look like the typical low quality plastic one's you usually find in this size. This tree is so beautiful. Just a little shaping & it was perfect. I did add some little snowflake ornaments, but that was it. The quality is one of a much more expensive tree. At first I was going to go with the 24". After reading the measurement was from base to tip I realized the 36" would work well. It is not too big around. I just can't say enough positive things about this tree. ... show more
