These are the M124 van Sice mallets that have the synthetic core and are multi-tonal (they are NOT the the M114 - darker grey ones with the rubber core. They are perfect for playing legato passages, to playing loud articulated passages even in the higher octave ranges. Great all-round mallet. Nice long maple handles that aren't as polished as some of the other ones, so ok to grip. ... show more
