My daughter is in her middle school band and started learning to play the snare drum. She took some private lessons with the high school marching band percussion group where they recommended her to get these sticks. The ones her band teacher gave her were not sufficient according to them. She says that getting these sticks made such difference in the sound and she likes the weight of them. Her band teacher even bought a couple pairs to keep in the class so she does not have to keep bringing her personal ones to school with her and the other percussion kids in other classes have better sticks.
