I used these to replace some old rusted Viair compressors. First off the packaging that came was pretty damaged but nothing was missing nor hurt. I bought brand new but it was as if someone opened it and tried taping it back but did a bad job. I had these running to a aluminum air tank on my bagged truck. They are great! Had no problem and it sits up pretty quick compared to the old setup. I'd say 5 minutes empty to full and if you don't play with the switches that's plenty of time and air to use. The directions that came with it were amazing. If you like to reference back to what you're doing they do a great job explaining exactly what is what. Replaced the 444C's after one quit working in my 59' Chevy Apache with these 480C's and couldn't be happier. They mount in the exact same holes as the 444Cs and have the same LxWxH dimensions so install was a breeze. They do run a larger diameter feed line into the tank then the 444C's did which helps fill faster, but you will have to move some fittings around on your tank or use a reducer, which I don't recommend unless its your only option since your defeating the purpose of the larger lines and increased volume of air. ... show more

    • Bought it "USED" but it was just "OPEN BOXED" by Amazon not a reseller.... Super Deal.
Works as described, bought it because my compressor went out on my frame laying 1964 GMC(Chevy C10). The one that went out wouldnt push out more than probably 75 PSI. So bought this as a replacement. Hopefully lasts longer than 2 years exposed to the elements.
