Purchased this to keep in my RV trunk. Used it to access the roof for cleaning/inspection before leaving home. The ladder is pretty sturdy for what it is but I wouldn’t want to do any heavy work from it. I understand why it doesn’t but I do wish it collapsed one more rung section for storage. I did learn that if you extend it starting at the bottom you can select the height. Starting from the top requires paying all the way out to safely lock in the rungs. Also keep your fingers well clear when collapsing: first rung lowers slowly (like a piston) then the rest basically free fall as their safeties are released. ... show more

Its not too terribly heavy, watch your fingers carrying it. Grab it from underneath and carry underarm. I pinched my fingers just picking it up and moving it to the back of the closet. I also pinched my finger extending and again retracting. The extension requires you to lift the ladder for each extension as it starts at the bottom of the ladder. Once you get the first 5 or so rungs, you need to stand on the ladder to extend the top rungs. Do that for 12 feet. Notice the first video the guy is wearing gloves. The second video you will see how quickly the ladder drops. Its narrow enough that it loses stability at higher heights. I only bought it to get into my attic and store in my closet so I dont have to carry it up and down stairs so it serves the purpose. I am afraid to do anything at full extension. ... show more
