  • Game Changer for Pine Needles, Pine Cones, and Yard Cleanup
Set name: 26 inch Classic
I’m very happy with this VEVOR Push Lawn Sweeper. I bought it mainly because my front lawn was covered with pine cones, pine needles, and small branches after the winter, to the point where I could barely even see the grass. Last year I handled all of that with a manual rake, and it took a ton of time and effort. This sweeper made a huge difference. On the first use, it picked up a good amount of exactly what I needed it to pick up. It was not 100% perfect, but what it left behind was very minimal and easy to deal with. What would have taken me a long time by hand was done much faster and with far less effort, so for me this was absolutely a worthwhile investment. My only complaint is that the height adjustment did not always seem to lock into place properly. A few times, it dropped down to the lowest setting while I was using it, which was definitely annoying and happened more than I would have liked. Still, aside from that issue, this lawn sweeper performed very well and saved me a lot of work. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

  • Worth the Money – Saved My Back!
Set name: 21 inch Classic
We hadn’t cleaned our lawn since last year (thanks to Florida’s unusual weather), and the amount of leaves covering our grass was overwhelming. I was absolutely not about to rake or blow all of that, it’s exhausting and back-breaking work. So I went looking for an easier alternative and found this leaf sweeper. For the price, it is absolutely worth it. I had so many leaves that I filled four garbage cans before I even finished the entire yard. The photos I’m posting are not of a completely finished lawn, I had to stop and wait for trash day to empty the cans! What I love: Super easy to use, you literally just push it like you’re vacuuming your lawn. Lightweight and simple to maneuver. Adjustable height settings. The collection bag is easy to remove and dump. A few things to know: If your yard is uneven (we have small hills), you’ll have to maneuver it a bit over those areas. You may need to go over some spots more than once, especially if you have a heavy layer of leaves. If you push it too fast and rollover acorns or small rocks, they can shoot out, I got hit in the face a couple of times. I recommend wearing eye protection just in case. The wheels and brushes can get clogged with sticks and twigs, so it helps to clear larger debris beforehand. Overall, I’m so glad I bought it. It made a huge difference and saved so much effort. Even my child loved using it and didn’t want to stop, it actually made yard work fun and something we could do together. Definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Pretty decent for turf. 4/5
Set name: 21 inch Classic
Overall this product is sitting at a 4/5 based on amazon reviews, and I agree with that rating. Recently moved into a house with turf in the backyard and had no idea how to handle it. Was raking with a turf broom which was fine, but I felt like there had to be a faster way to deal with it. This does work— not perfectly, but good enough for me. Instructions to put it together took me a few minutes to understand but overall it only took about 10 mins to put together. It doesn’t feel like it’ll last me anywhere near a lifetime, but for the price that was kind of expected. You definitely have to fine tune the height- it was too high the first time I pushed it and it didn’t pick up anything. My turf is pretty short so I lowered it (there’s a knob on the front bottom/center pipe to do so easily) quite a bit and it started picking up stuff immediately. Leaves, twigs, peanut shells from my bird feeder. I did have to go over some areas a few times but the machine is really lightweight so it wasn’t an issue for me. The one thing that’s awkward about this is turning; it’s not easy to turn and you kind of need to lift and pivot a few times. So for that, and the quality of materials, I’d bring this down to a 4/5. But ultimately I got this with low expectations and I’m pleased with the time and effort it’ll save me over raking and manually picking up lawn debris, so I’m happy with it. ... show more

  • Not completely disappointed
Set name: 21 inch Classic
Its ok. I bought it for pine needles, it picks up about half on one pass, you have to find the sweet spot position and speed while pushing it. You have to make multiple passes and it works best if your yard is flat but mine isnt. Its mostly plastic. Its a bit pricey for how its made it is a bit flimsy. Haven't tried it on leaves yet, it might work better on them. Picks up pinecones and twigs pretty well as advertised im sur will be good with leaves aswell. I figured it would be a bit better than it is for the price but its not all bad ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised.
Set name: 21 inch Classic
I've had about half a dozen different lawn sweepers for the artificial turf in my backyard and for one reason or another (broken beyond repair, can't get parts, missing parts, or just plain junk the doesn;t perform well) I don't have them any more so I needed a new one. Typically I lean toward the name brand stuff and pay the higher price to get more quality and durability instead of plastic parts where metal should be, comfortable handles, etc. Looking around on Amazon to find the next lawn sweeper that I would throw away and I came across the one from Vevor. Not completely aware of this brand i decided to give it a try because because for the most part all the remaining sweepers where either the same, or variations on a theme, of what I had before. When the box arrived, the logo on the side said : "VEVOR Tough Tools, Half Price" which gave me pause. What did I get myself into this time? I out it together, took about 10 minutes and one #2 Phillips screwdriver. The sweeper felt sold in spite of being mostly plastic, but the plastic parts felt thicker than parts from other sweepers. In short, it felt strong and durable, and not too heavy. After i got it to the lawn and dialed in the height adjustment, gave it a push over some leaves, twigs, and mulch and swept it right up. Surprise! I didn't expect it to work so well the first time. i swept the whole backyard and learned a few things. 1) Don't expect to get everything on the first pass. I have stick, twigs, leaves, dog poop, bark, and Gorilla Hair mulch to deal with so it takes a few passes to get it. 2) Once dialed in for the type of material you want to sweep up, you still must raise the handle during forward motion from its resting position (about waist height) to a maximum of about 60 degrees as you push it forward to accommodate changes in turf elevation, material to sweep and how fast you move the sweeper. Its not a big deal and it's rather intuitive as you can see the rotating sweeper brush get mired in the turf if you don't swing the handle up a bit. 3) Once you get a hang of it, walk a little faster now. The increased momentum will give it some inertia and make the job easier. 4) Stuff can get embedded in the turf so don't expect 100% debris removal. It's a sweeper, not a vacuum. If you need the turf to be 100% debris-free then get this sweeper and a reasonable vacuum for the tough spots and corners that this sweeper cant get into effectively due to its size. Note to Vevor. I hope you are working on a powered version of this design, maybe with a vacuum to boot. I think the approach used in this model is a sound design and adding power to it could be used to augment the sweeping function or add self-propelled wheels. I would gladly be first in line to pickup a powered sweeper if you had one. ... show more

  • Does a great job of picking up grass clippings
Set name: 30 inch Upgraded Version
I have a rather large front yard which I use a riding lawn mower for. Which I don’t have catch bag on because I don’t own one, but also if I attached one then it wouldn’t enable me to get into some tighter spots with the deck and fit through this one opening that just makes it significantly more convenient. So I have on one side of my house a long narrow stretch of grass that’s too narrow to spread the grass clippings around to the point where they’re not noticeable or piled up on the fence unless I spend like an extra 30 minutes driving over it and chopping it up and spreading it. This however allows me to just pick up the bulk of the grass clippings even if it can be tiring in the heat of summer doing a couple the few passes necessary, then use my mower to spread out the rest. The other areas of my front yard have more space to spread out the grass clippings so it’s not necessary there. Also use it in my back yard since my push mower back there leaves a trail of clippings on one side after a couple passes, so it saves me time there as well having to go back over it with a much smaller mower. ... show more

  • useful but not neccessary
Set name: 21 inch Classic
When the catcher first arrived I was surprised at the size. It looked like a giant baby stroller and bigger than the photos. So I was glad I did not get the more expensive, bigger size. The directions for the catcher were not clear but someone posted a video on YouTube that was helpful. Before using the catcher it is better you mow your grass so that your lawn is as even as possible and that it's not more than 3-4 inches. If your lawn is too tall, uneven or dirt areas with no grass next to areas with grass, this catcher can be a challenge to move through. The wheels being plastic rather than the falsely advertised rubber wheels adds to this difficulty. Try to keep your brush height to the middle on average use (to increase the height / distance from the ground, bring the handle down). When grass is thick and higher, adjust height to upper middle. If grass is very short (1 inch) or lawn is dirt with no grass then lower middle height. I found putting the the brush height closest to the ground was useless because it made pushing the catcher very hard and could risk the plastic brush bristles to potentially break. This catcher design should not have allowed the brush to go so low and instead of focused more on even higher brush settings to allow even taller grass (like 5 or 6 inches) to use this product (which they cannot use effectively under the actual settings). Also if your lawn is uneven, it might be tempting to switch the brush height for each situation. This might be okay once or twice but anything more than that you will likely get tired of doing that, especially since changing the height of the brush is not as smooth in moving the control level for the brush and my back got sore from such (and especially using the brush when it was closer to the ground on bare, non grass areas of the lawn). In such cases, using a regular rake, along with a small leaf blower (limited use to avoid annoying any neighbors with the sound) was more faster than stopping each time to change the height setting. Then once I made the leaf piles, I would use the catcher to pick up those piles. In this case I was relieved to have the catcher as it allowed me to catch my breath in using this catcher in the more uneven areas of my lawn. In areas were the grass was even, it was a breeze to use but a few times it would not pick up leaves here and there or the it would pick up a leaf and see it quickly fly out of the catcher bag. To minimize the flying leaf problem do a very slow, steady walking pace. There was only minimal impact on the back and nothing compared to the strain of using a gas powered mower. By the way, this catcher can also pick up grass clippings and be used on hard, non-grass surfaces like the street or driveway. However I would not use it on the street or driveway as I would want to keep the plastic brush bristles in shape as long as possible without this more harder wear and tear. And the catcher bag is fairly flimsy. I could see the bag tearing over time from lifting up the bag each time to empty it out. To extend the life of the bag, save time taking off the bag and putting it back on and avoid leaves from falling out during the emptying process (which some leaves will for sure fall back to the ground and you have to rake those leaves that fell), it was much easier to use my hands to directly empty out the catching bag rather than lifting the bag out to empty it. I believe if you lift the bag off the roller, with the weight of the leaves inside the bag, it will put a lot of stress on the threading of the bag near the opening of the bag. Because the bag will be hanging in the air and twisting while you turn the bag sideways to empty it out. And it's much easier on your knees having to reach from the bag with your hands than it is to go further down to the ground to pick up the leaves. This company has no replacement bag. But if they ever had a bag take a look at the price of a replacement bag by a competing model called Agri-Fab. It was $95! That company offers a more expensive sweeper so figure this cheaper Vevor model would offer a bag at for at least $40, if they ever offered a bag in the future. Not worth the extra cost to me. I only take the bag out once in a while, when the bag is empty, just so i can remove empty out a tiny of the powdered looking leaf fragments or few pieces of grass that remain. By tiny I mean it's enough to fill powder/fragments to fill less than 1/4 of a cup. Most times I just use small hand vacuum to quickly suck up those fragments/powders to keep the bag in good shape. The bag itself looks huge but you will not get to use more than 2/3 it's capacity. As your rolling with the catcher, you will notice the catcher's front opening, closest to the brush, will get covered up. The first few minutes this will be fine. But as it gets to 2/3 to 3/4 full, the amount of leaves it picks up will slow down and more leaves will stay on the ground. Every 1-2 minutes inbetween, you will need to push back the leaves from the opening (from where the leaves first enter into the leaf bag). I do this after every long turn or a minute, to maximize how much gets picked up. When the catcher is around 2/3 to 3/4 full, I empty out most of the catcher by hand. So if you are debating between the 25 inch and the cheaper 21 inch model, O recommend taking the 21 inch model. The 25 inch model will suffer from the same issue of leaves clogging where the leaves enter near the rotating brush head. The bigger bag size is not going to delay this problem by a noticeable amount if at all. And the 21 inch model takes up a lot of storage space so imagine what 4 more inches will do. Overall a useful product with its flaws. It is better to use this tool on the more even sections of your lawn or at least to pick up the piles you made from using a standard rake or your leaf blower. The main reason I picked this model was that it was the lowest priced catcher shipped directly by Amazon at the time. I researched enough of the different models out there to know that all these catchers are of the same quality. So whatever is the lowest priced catcher sent by Amazon, go with that rather than overspending on a item that I would say is helpful but not a necessary item to get. ... show more

  • Gets it done without a manual rake
Set name: 21 inch Classic
I was skeptical, especially given how hard Facebook wanted me to buy it. It just arrived. It took about 10 minutes to assemble. Instructions are not good. There are a couple nuances that can be frustrating (which way the curved bar goes in, and the screws at the bottom need to go through the plastic and the bar), but it’s very doable. It’s easy to use and the height is easy to adjust. It’s sloppy and can sling grass and especially pine cones over the receiving bag. So don’t push it too fast. The way the brush throws the debris, you better be ready for your allergies to flare. And you will have to reach down to push the grass to the back of the bag so you don’t have to dump as often. That being said, anything more and it would be overkill for what I need. I just want to get up the last row of grass that always stays behind and the pile at the corner of the square cut (IYKYK). I like it, will use it regularly, and do not regret the purchase. Granted it’s way over priced for the construction, but there isn’t anything better that’s cheaper. It’s just the quality of today’s tools. ... show more
