It isn’t exactly ready to use out of the box. The fiber blanket is just a bear untreated fiber blanket. to use this thing safely you will want to use a Stefiner. I also had a problem with one of the burners actually heating up into forming the case because the wool was separating from the case and the flame from the burner was getting in between it. This was occurring because the tube that was meant to connect the two burners together was too long. I end up cutting it a few inches shorter to make sure the burners sit more perpendicular to the case. Also had a gas leak on one of the fittings I needed to use yellow Teflon tape to seal it. Keep that in mind if you buy this thing. remember to use the bubble technique to test all the fittings on both burners and onto your propane tank. Just splash a little soapy water onto the fitting. If you see bubbles, it’s leaking. Also, the method adjust The richness of the burn is a bit course. And by course I mean by Mean binary. It’s practically either open or is closed. watch out for a little flashback when you turn off the gas as the flame burns up the leftover fuel all the way up the burner to the nozzle. It’s a bit jarring at first but mostly harmless. ... show more

My teenager received this for Christmas. One gas valve arrived broken and the other broke in the exact same spot when assembling. It was an easy fix for less than $5 but disappointing since it was a Christmas gift. It has done exactly what we had hoped as far as heating steel and letting him learn the basics. ... show more

I would not buy this product again. The gas regulator does NOT fit American propane tanks. It is labeled “acetylene”, and also has propane on the label too, but it You must assemble the tubing yourself from bare tubing and hose clamps. Propane is dangerous. The “instructions” for this are terrible and incomplete. I had to replace the gas regulator, tubing and barbed connector to connect to the bare tubing at significant additional expense. ... show more

Ever since i started using this product its been nothing but problems, From when i got the forge there are little to no instructions for assembly, it doesnt warn you of the health hazards of the included insulation, or reccomend sealing it with rigidizer or mortar in any fashion whatsoever, ive had two ball valves melt while working with this forge, and ive had over four leaks with the included piping until i redid all of it myself with new fittings, the fittings included arent sealed properly, they're soldered, which is a huge issue because the solder will melt over time from the heat creeping, ive had my piping literally light on fire from the leaks, ive had my forge warp from the heat, because when i recieved the forge Nowhere did it say it would need more insulation through mortar. This forge has serious issues, and you should just buy something worth the money, Ill be replacing this thing as soon as i can. ... show more

I was sent this 2 burner forge. They sent me a fuel regulator for European tanks and not USA style. Amazon does not offer returns or refunds. I just wanted the correct regulator. I contacted Vevor directly and they routed me to there Amazon rep. The Amazon rep ask me for a screen shot of my order I sent it, they ask for it again. I sent it again and they’ve never responded. I ask again if they were going to send me the correct part so I could use my forge and they still refuse to reply or make it right. I bought propane fitting and changed it myself. I used the forge for about 2 hrs and one of the shut off valve’s on the burner doesn’t open all the way and it doesn’t close. So when you turn the shut off valves off one keeps running 1/2 open. Cheap product and you will get absolutely no product support from Amazon or the manufacturer. You’re basically buying a forge box that you will need to buy quality parts for it to work properly. I loved it for avoidance hour. After that it was just a total failure. The paint was gone in 2 hours and the housing was literally melted by my 3rd 20pound tank. Now it’s useless and i’m only on tank 5. The regulator just refuses to seal in any sense of the word. I highly recommend getting something else. Also the seller says that the destruction caused from 3 15 pound bottles of propane are normal and “inevitable” and that it’s not their problem it’s mine. I would highly recommend avoiding the seller more than the manufacturer as i also reached out to vevor about this and they are actually working with me on it. AVOID THIS SELLER AT ALL COSTS slow with everything. When it comes to respond time to problems they are the worst and obviously unhelpful. ... show more
