I took a long time trying to decide which screen tent was best for me. I wanted it to be a simple set up that I could do alone. I wanted it to be resident to light rain. This tent has been a great choice. We purchased the largest size. While it would be manageable for one person set up, two people definitely made it easier. It took less than 10 minutes and looks very nice. It kept the bugs out. The materials feel durable and of good quality. It did just fine in some light rain. It is easy to move the tent where needed and to take with you most places. The price was definitely better than most other brands and I feel like it is the same or better quality. The size is a comfortable fit for 10 people or so. I would recommend this screen tent and I might purchase an additional one myself. ... show more

    • Easy set up AND tear down for a solo female age 66

I first purchased another “easy to set up” version with pop-out sides. I’ve been camping all my life. I’m a female, age 66 & thought it would be a great addition to my hatch for car camping. After 2 hours of struggling and not even able to pop out & set up even 2 sides I gave up & returned it. Then I found this spring loaded “easy set up” hatch tent. I was cautiously optimistic as we’d previously had a spring loaded tent with instant set up but extremely complex folding that my husband mastered, but I never did. I’m a widow so this had to be easy to set up AND pack up. Set up was a dream!!! Just unfold, add ceiling poles to increase head room and it’s completely free standing. Optional drape over hatch & hook adjustable straps to vehicle. It’s freestanding, but can easily be connected to the vehicle hatch. My Hummer H-2 is a larger SUV and this worked perfectly. Large enough to set up a few chairs & a kitchen center free from bugs, and rain protection if cooking from the rear of the SUV. The advantage of free standing is I can unhook 2 hooks if I need to drive somewhere, & leave my camp set up. Then came the dreaded tear down. I rewatched the video & a with few folds and a twist and it was flat and easy to repack in the roomy storage bag. I’m thrilled!!! It has a separate floor which I haven’t used yet. Highly recommend so far, but haven’t tested in rainy conditions yet. ... show more

The tent was great! It was much easier to put up than we initially thought. However...getting it folded back up was the reason I took away a star. At the soccer field we ultimately just collapsed it back into a tall oval until we got home to wrestle with it on the carpet. If you are using this tent for the sidelines to watch a game with chairs in it. Then it should hold about 6 ppl and chairs comfortably. It may hold 7 chairs and ppl if you were all facing each other in a circle, conversation style, and you could put a small table for like cards. This would be great for a park day picnic and you wouldn't have to work about bugs while you eat or nap. ... show more

I enjoy using this screen tent when I go camping. The size is probably good for 2 ppl if you don’t have too many items in there. Keeps bugs out and allows good airflow. It’s pretty easy to set up because I’ve always been by myself during the process. I still need to get use to folding it back down but it’s not hard. I did give it three stars because of the quality of it is very good. The walls are thick. The screen is nice. It was easy to set up. When it comes to taking it down and folding it in the carrying bag……after two hours of wrestling with it, we said the heck with it and set it aside. I put in for a return, but I had to get it back in that bag to be able to send it back. We went camping without it and came back home, laid it on our bed and wrestled with it another 20 minutes and finally got it to go in the bag. There is no video that we could find that shows how to fold this particular model. This one has 8 sides and all the other ones show 6 sides or 4 sides and how to fold it. We watched video after video followed the instructions in the book and to no avail it took us forever to get it back in there we said never again. ... show more

Great size, easy set up. Made of good quality material and the rain drains off the roof instead of sitting on it. Came folded in a carrying bag so everything fits nicely and compact. It was well worth the money I paid for it.

Stop searching, this is the one you are looking for! I bought this as an “adventure tent” for our quail. So the first thing that impressed me about this tent was the storage size, literally folds up into a 2’x2’ tote bag. It was easy to set up by myself, and I’m just a 5’5” girl. Looks great. As far as water resistance it is made of “regular tent” material. It would definitely hold off a light to moderate rain, but it would probably need a tarp over it for a deluge. I didn’t get the vibe that it is water proof. It feels solid when you set it up. I just put four stakes in the ground, and because of the tension in the panels it didn’t feel like it was going anywhere. And for $120 dollars, it’s an amazing deal for what it is. This is something we will definitely take camping to put over the picnic table. ... show more
