This little thing is awesome. I've gotten to weld a few different items from thin metal like Gates all the way up to 3/8 in steel brackets and it's worked great. Popped my breaker a couple times but that's not the welder's fault

This welder worked well and I was pretty satisfied with the quality of the welds I could make with it. However it did have the annoying tendency of flipping the breaker on my panel after just a couple minutes of welding. I tried it on three different 20 amp circuits and it did exactly the same thing. A couple minutes of welding just isn't enough before you have to get up and walk across the yard and flip the breaker.

This is Flux core welding only which is what i wanted , but this welder has no wire speed adjustment. welds good on 1/8 steel but has no wire speed adjustment. so if your metal is thicker or thinner you can only stick in or out. no adjustment on machine. juat a basic farm equiptment welder has A for amps adjustment( volume of heat) and V for volt adjustment ( pressure of heat) with out wire speed adjustment i do not recommend this welder.

This thing is killer. Can’t beat the price and this puppy performs as good or better than it needs to. Highly recommend for at home or even a shop that does welding here and there. Does the job as it should!

This little flux core welder is an easy five stars for a few key reasons: 1. This thing is affordable. The kit comes with everything you need to get started, minus a mask and gloves. I really like that they included a .5 kg roll of flux core wire to practice with. 2. The welder is compact and lightweight, especially considering it has space for the wire inside. It doesn't take up much space in the garage 3. It also comes with a stinger for stick welding 4. It's strong enough to take care of just about anything a regular homeowner is going to encounter At this price point, you're obviously not going to be using this professionally. An expensive professional level welder is just too hard to justify for most people. For those of us who just need to make a few welds every once in a while, this is ideal. While it may not be made with the highest quality components, it's well suited for occasional use. I've never needed to weld anything thicker than 3/16" so I don't need anything bigger than this. I found the setup to be pretty simple. Just plug in the cables, load the wire, and start welding. Penetration was quite good as was welding thin wall material. I had to turn the heat way down to keep from putting a hole in the work piece. If you're looking to get into welding and you want some cheap practice, this will do well. I would just recommend you get a good auto-darkening helmet and some good welding gloves to go with it.
