  • Great cold roll laminator for the $$
Size: 39 inch
Cheaper option that works great. Applying laminate to stickers, once you realize that you need to use LIGHT pressure on the roll, it applies laminate cleanly without bubbling. Saved big $$ with Vevor.

  • Laminates thick sheets
Size: 12 inch
Purchased to replace a broken laminator. I chose this since it goes up to 10mil thick sheets. It worked beautifully! Heats up quickly, adheres great and not so big they it can’t fit in a drawer.

  • A competitively priced Hot and Cold Laminator Machine that is able to handle 10mil Thickness
Size: 12 inch
The media could not be loaded. I Spent a fair bit of time fiddling with this VEVOR Laminator Machine, Cold and Hot Laminator, and I have to say, there is a learning curve, granted that this is my first time owning a Laminator. Every Laminates I featured in the video we all purchased on Amazon. One is the Uinkit 25 Pack 4x6 Inch Self Sealing Laminating Pouches 4 x 6 Variant, and the other, Binditek 50 Pack 10 Mil Thermal Laminating Pouches (which is surprisingly discontinued which I bought not too long ago). Both are claimed 10mil thickness in laminate. What drew me to this Laminator Machine was that I was browsing around to see if there are such Laminator Machines that can do Cold and Hot Laminates at the same time do up to 10mil Thickness. There weren't too much that fit the Criteria and even if so, they can be costly until I stumbled upon this Machine. I've been Eyeballing their cold rolled machine for a while and have been checking on their selection page every so often until I saw this hot and cold laminator machine just added with their fleet of options. I had to do a double take on it because the only one I know that Vevor had made at that time was their 3-5mil Hot Laminator (The White Variant), and this one is totally different. I took my chances and purchased it and conducted some tests. Here are my findings. My First test was trying out the cold laminate if it can handle its claimed 10mil thickness without any issue. I took out the self adhesive laminate and turned the laminator on and set it to "COLD" for cold roll without heat. Only then when the RED Light turns solid is when you are able to feed the laminate paper in. I noticed that the initial insertion of the machine was quite deep and was afraid that the initial adhesive contact was already adhering to the laminate before it started rolling, but to my surprise, it was able to roll the laminate without issues. Upon close inspection, like you get with most self adhesion Laminates, you will most likely see micro bubbles trapped inside the laminate, however less noticeable from far away. It is only when you are close, you can easily identify it. There were also two bigger bubbles trapped, but wasn't sure if there was a speck of dust that prevented it from rolling perfectly, or it adhered before it was able to roll (see video and pictures). Either way, I was completely satisfied with this cold laminate test as it has done way better than self laminating by hand. Second test was to perform a full page thermal laminate that has a claimed 10mil thickness. This test is not self adhesive and only able to bond with heat. I set my laminator to 10 mil and began to laminate. I quickly realized that Vevor probably has a safety feature that closes the feed while the laminator is trying to reach its specified temperature based on specified settings. It wouldn't let me feed, and when it did, I was able to feed it through successfully but the outcome did not look good. I didn't show this on video because it would have made the duration long so instead, I took pictures to visually see the result. As you can see, although it was able to feed thru the laminator, the upper top portion of the laminate seem like it over heat because you can see how bubbly those markings are. Another one is that the laminate doesn't lay flat and has displayed distortion when placed on a flat table. I quickly thought to myself that sure it might not be the machine's fault and rather user error instead. I decided to give it another shot where this time, I had done some things differently. This time After setting the laminator to 10 mil, The Green Light blinking notifies you that the machine is currently heating up to the specified temperature based on the amount of thickness you chose. When the desired Temperature is reached, The Blinking Green light on the printer interface should now turn solid to let you know that you can start feeding the laminate into the laminator. I did just that, and it did with great success. From close inspection, I do not see any bubbles or overheat plastic. It also was able to place the laminate on a flat surface with little to no distortion. Hopefully in particular order, The first Three pictures show that the Laminator isn't just a laminator, but also a laminator cutter, as well as having tools for puncturing laminate edges to make them have rounded corners, a hole puncher, 3 spare cutting blades and circular binder clips. The next two pictures show a close up on how it did with the cold laminate self adhesive pouch and how noticeable the micro bubbles are (except the two big ones trapped). Next 4 pictures I believe were the first attempt failure when testing the thermal laminates on the 10mil setting. You can notice the distortion from the top due to me inserting the feeder in too early when the laminator wasn't ready in reaching the desired temperature before enabling the roller. This resulted in poor outcome and the laminate unable to rest flat on table. Next 3 pictures after that was the second attempt in laminating, but this time waiting for the green light to turn solid before feeding in the laminate into the machine. The second attempt came out perfect with no micro bubbles being present according to my test. It was also able to lay on the table almost flat, around 95% or so, but way better than the first initial attempt. The last 4 images are the thickness of laminates that the machine can handle. 0.46mm is the thickness of the Thermal Laminate with its claimed 10mil thickness when laminating from plastic to plastic. 0.63mm is the thickness of the Thermal Laminate from plastic, paper, plastic (sandwiched together). 0.28mm is the thickness of the Self Adhesive Cold Laminate with its claimed 10mil thickness from laminating from plastic to plastic. o.41mm is the thickness of the Cold Laminate from plastic, paper, plastic (sandwiched together). So far, I am very pleased with this Cold and Hot Laminator and it has so far exceeded my expectations. Only time will tell on its durability because this is fairly a new product. I have yet to try out the 3mil and 5mil options as I do not currently have laminates of this specific thickness. This is the only thing that prevented me from giving this 5 stars. I will update this review once I do get the chance to try it out and also test the longevity of this machine. I like how this Machine competitively priced punches its class for what it costs. I also added a mini video on the operation of this machine. ... show more

  • Get creative
Size: 25 inch
I actually use this laminator as a slab roller for smaller clay projects. Just make sure you use some canvas on both sides. Works great you can adjust the space between rolls pretty easy. Probably not appropriate for big slabs but works great for what I need, without the big price tag.
