Features

  • Top-level Magnet: Get ready for unstoppable power! Our electric magnetic drill generates exceptionally powerful driving force with its 1550W copper motor. It is capable of drilling into the toughest material at 500 RPM. Max. Boring Diameter (Coring Drill): 50mm; Max. Coring Depth: 50mm.
  • Understand the Power: 2922lbf / 13000N robust force created by the electromagnetic base on the two ends anchors the mag drill press solidly to avoid movement during the drilling process. Adjustable 10-speed gears achieve accurate and efficient operation according to different drilling diameter.
  • Security and Durability: Your security comes first! That is why the combined overload guard features are in place. The cooling system features fast heat dissipation to save operators from being hurt by instantaneous overpowering and high temperatures during drilling. Besides, the titanium magnesium alloy guide rail has corrosion & wear resistance characteristics, significantly improving the device's service life.
  • User-friendly design: A scale has been added to the machine's frame to help users pinpoint the distance between the drill bit and the drilled material in millimeters. Even a novice can bore accurate and neat holes. In addition, the ergonomically designed handle and 3 extended cranks provide a comfortable grip during handling and moving, saving great effort.
  • Wide Applications: This versatile magnetic drill plays a vitally important role in home improvement, equipment installation, industrial and steel fabrication, ship and bridge building, railway manufacture, windmill & power-plant construction, and many other fields.

  • Light weight work horse
This is a great little unit. Light weight about 25 lbs. I drill over 400 7/8 holes in 7/8 steel. The chuck does not slip with anular bits. It is only one speed, which works well. But if you need variable speed you need to buy the next model up. The magnet grip works well. Need to brush it off and keep it clean. This unit takes a 15 amp glass cylinder fuse. Around 300 holes the fuse wore out. It’s easy to replace, only 4 little screw behind the on/off switch. Would recommend to have a few on hand. ... show more

  • Great value in a Mag Drill Vevor Quality as usual
Pattern Name: Drill Style: W/ 2'' 6pcs
Be apprised this is a long review: First off Read the enclosed operating manual.. I read reviewers that complain about the electro magnet base getting hot. All AC electro magnets get hot when left energized for a prolonged amount of time and it plainly states that in the owners manual if you bother to read it, kind of obvious to me the complainers failed to read it...lol The Veyvor Mag Drill is a quality built unit, just like all their tools are (and I also own their chainsaw grinder) which is on par with the Oregon grinder and in some ways superior to it but at a price point WELL below the cost of an Oregon chain grinder, I was very impressed with it, clean die castings, accurate and superior chain vise and depth stop adjustment (versus the Oregon) as well and that was a prime impetus for buying the Vevor Mag Drill. I sharpen saw chain loops for my arborist customers constantly I might add and I have both the Oregon grinder as well as the Veyvor. Enough said on that. The Vevor Mag Drill has some faults however. The most glaring fault is the exposed drill motor cord which can get in the way when setting the drill up on a vertical surface especially. Additionally, the base is stationary and not rotatable when the magnet is energized so you must align in carefully when drilling a hole with it. The drill is very well assembled and I observe no runout in the spindle what so ever. It's heavy (like all Mag Drills are but the magnetic holding power is great but I would still secure it when drilling in a vertical position, you don't want a 20+ pound machine dropping on your foot. I purchased the upgraded model simply because a large number of holes I drill require second operation tapping so the reverseable and variable speeds are a requirement. I can drill a hole with either a twist drill chucked in the supplied Jacobs style drill chuck, remove the drill and replace it with a tap and start the tap straight and true and then loosed the chuck and remove the machine and finish the tapping with a manual tap driver. The model I purchased also comes with an assortment of HSS Annular cutters but I strongly suggest purchasing a set of carbide tipped annular cutters as well. Carbide tipped cutters will far outlast HSS cutters at least 5 times or more if you plan on boring multiple holes. I would also invest in a tube of Hougen Slick Stick semi solid annular cutter lubricant for vertical operations as the supplied coolant-lubricant bottle cannot be used in the vertical operation and the annular cutters require sufficient lubrication when boring to insure a clean, burr free hole. Finally, for standard boring, machine at 90 degrees to the workpiece, I suggest using the supplied 'coolant' bottle and delivery hose and introduce coolant / lubricant into the hollow spindle and hollow annular cutters and I use a synthetic EP coolant in the coolant bottle, same stuff I use for flood coolant in my machine tools but straight, not dilluted. Finally everything I've listed is available here on Amazon. ... show more

  • Mediocre machining, but cheap
Pattern Name: Drill Style: w/ 2"
The media could not be loaded. The primary problem here is that the receiving cylinder in the spindle is bored at too large of a diameter for a standard Weldon shank. When you tighten the set screws it puts the Weldon shank about 1/32" out of concentricity. You can get away with that on fresh annular cutters with slow feed rates, but even slightly worn standard twist drill bits will end up snapping. Even if they don't you'll end up with an oversized oval instead of the hole size you were aiming for. The second problem is that the wiring for the magnet runs pretty hot. In a 50 degree room it ends up at 136 degrees ferenheit. Probably won't set your house on fire, but it indicates a less than ideal wiring design. I wouldn't care about it getting hot or being a something as low as a 20% duty cycle if it was machined concentric. I'm giving it 3 stars because for under 200$ it does most of what it claims. If you want better you can get a used hougen for 3x the cost. I'm keeping it, just not for anything needing exact hole dimensions. ... show more
