If your looking for precise SAE holes you might want to plan different. For example, the bit that is labeled "26mm" actually measures 1.17". 26mm is supposed to be 1.02". I did check the rest of the drills that come with it and they are all the same way, around about .015 bigger than what they should be. Not knowing this before hand, I was able to adjust my project. The conventional drill chuck that comes with this rig makes the assembly so long that you can only use very small in length drill bits. If it wasn't for these 2 problems, I would have given 5 stars. As far as actual drilling, the machine is awesome. Really strong magnet. Used some Tap Magic cutting fluid and made it even better.

Can’t beat this for the price, drilled 1 1/2 diameter holes through 1/2 steel using annular cutter with coolant flowing over cutting area.

Drill cut thru 3/4” steel with no problems. Did 16 holes with out any issues. The oil cutting tang is prone to leaking. I don’t use it. Squirts of W40 work just fine.

Unfortunately, I had to purchase this product twice. First one was lost in transit, was issued a full refund. I purchased the kit that came with six annular cutters and drill chuck. The provided annular cutters seem to be of decent quality, the drill chuck on the other hand seems cheap. The arbor has a touch of play in it probably not the best unit for extreme precision. The magnet is extremely strong and the drill is reversible. It has a quick connect style arbor that hold the cutters. Not sure if this is a proprietary set up or if regular two sided cutters will fit properly, I have not seen this set up before. That being said, if regular cutters fit and work properly, then the quick connect seems to be a bonus. The unit has an onboard coolant/lube reservoir. However, mine did not come with the hose as it was described making it useless. If purchasing for daily or frequent use, I would probably recommend going with a brand like “Hougen” or a brand of similar quality. But for occasional use this seems to be a good product at a budget conscious price point.

Ended up being too tall for my application, but overall appearance shows of good quality for the money. For the occasional shop or DIY'er, would make a great tool to have in the tool arsenal. You could buy 2-3 of these for a top name brand and if it's not in a production environment/daily use, should last a life-time imo.

The media could not be loaded. I am impressed that you can get a powerful magnetic drill for this price.metal drilling is not a issue anymore slowing down my projects. I made new handles and a whole drilling jig for my projects using the drill.the bottom of the box collapsed during shipping and the handles and other parts got lost. I got a little discount for the lost parts because I didn’t want to return it because I needed it right away. I am satisfied with the 1500watt beast. The drill was not damaged in shipping that’s why I decided to keep it.model D8860. I love the variable speed.

Rack & pinion gear for lift/depress of cutting implement is very loose and handle wobbly. Head end reverse direction has major slop. Had to disassemble and add shim bar under Rack. Learned planes of slide guides and rack base attachment were not collinear which required bottom of shim bar to be thinner than upper end. Cutter shaft is not drilled out to receive pilot pin as annular cutter depresses into metal work piece. pilot hole has to be drilled 3/8" deeper than cut hole if not thru cut. Oiler seems hokey. Chuck center line not congruent with shaft center line and thus not practical for twist drills and taps.
