We bought this for my Mom since her new kitchen was so small. After reading the reviews, I was a bit nervous having it delivered and building it ourselves. UPS dropped it off at the end of our driveway in one big, heavy box. I took everything out and organized it to make sure we had all the pieces. We did! So, we put on some music and got busy. It took 2 of us almost 2 hours to construct. We had to do a slight adjustment to have the doors line up, but that was it. I really like it and am excited to see it in my Mom’s new place! The media could not be loaded. My 2nd/Updated Review: The new island was delivered last & I exchanged the damaged and not working pieces for new ones. The new drop leaf is much better! Not perfect but only slightly off in the center...not bad at all. The door with the visible glue was now replaced with a much cleaner glue free door. Unfortunately, the wheels (the lock ones) do not lock. I had to switch those out as well. The lock wheels work when they are in your hand, but once on the island (where they belong & should work), they do not lock in place. 2 o us tried and still couldn't get them to lock. Nonetheless, I am happy with this purchase and I WOULD recommend this product. On a scale of 5 I would give them 4.5 not just a 4 but not a full 5 either. My Initial Review is below: First, it takes a lot more than 3 hours to put together and you'll need 2 people at least. The instructions are pictorial only so that made it harder to put together. I used a soft blanket to build on to protect the pieces. However, I still found scuff marks/other markings on different pieces. They arrived this way straight from the manufacturer. So, sloppy craftsmanship. Once all together, you can see in the video and pictures that the door with the design has visible glue...which is poor craftsmanship and makes the new island look old. I have used it yet and it's less than a week old. For $200 I expected and should have received better craft quality. I will be reaching out to Amazon about a new left side door and a new drop leaf. The drop leaf was the main necessary feature for me so it's important that it works properly. Overall, I would recommend this product and I believe that Amazon or Vevor will make things right. To address customer service, I tried to call the company, united # Amazon has posted and it's out of service. The only communication is via email or chat. That's not helpful at all when you need a conversation. I will update my review with higher stars if my issues are resolved. This item is great, the quality is impressive for an Amazon item. You’re probably wondering why it’s one star though after that start? Here’s why, it showed up missing parts, I contacted VEVOR Customer service to help rectify the situation… they are abysmal to deal with, they take forever to respond, don’t pay attention and I had to repeat what parts were missing twice, even though I provided PICTURES of the missing parts. When they finally sent me the missing parts, they sent only one… I needed 2, it was the bottoms for the sliding drawers. Amazon customer service though, 10 out of 10, 1000 stars, I told them what was happening and they refunded my purchase fully, told me to keep the item, and told me to keep fighting to get my missing parts. I cannot make this more clear. AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS PERFECT. Long and short of it, buy at your own risk, if parts are missing enjoy the horrible customer service from VEVOR, but enjoy the great service from Amazon. Oh… it’s been 3 weeks, I just got the first drawer bottom, now fighting customer service for the second, joy… another 3 week process. This looks good but even with an experienced assemble, the doors couldn't be assembled without a gap in between them and the wheel stoppers were defective on receipt; won't keep cart stable. What's the point of having a cart to prepare and chop food upon with a knife when it slides! Dangerous.
