Works great just need to buy 2 straps with hooks and use the gram to hook the hooks and around the kayak..place dolly right where your rod holders go this should almost middle…put all your gear on the back and it’s very simple I pulled it on mud gravel grasss then grass with gravel then a piece of wood then squared bricks then rocks the whole time pulling up a very small hill and never did it tip over but that was after my third trip so yes as long as you strap it correctly it works perfect for the price..zoom in to see where the hooks should go…kayak weighs about 100 pounds with gear like 150.00 no isssues ... show more

    • It works great for pavement and smooth trails.
This kayak cart works great on smooth terrain. It might not be as good over rough terrain. I've used it on pavement and mild dirt trails without issue. It folds and disassembles quickly and easily to store in the aft waterproof compartment of my 12 ft kayak (Wilderness systems). My only negative is with the system of strapping the cart to the kayak. There really isn't any system. You have to just sort of figure something out. I tied a single overhand knot around the rear crossmember at one side so that the buckle end reaches across the kayak almost to the other side. The bitter end goes under the front crossmember, up over the kayak, back under both crossmembers, and up to buckle. You can lift with the strap once it's through the buckle to tighten it up. If it's too loose it doesn't tow well and if it's too tight it pulls the crossmembers back into the folded position and won't tow at all. Put the kickstand up and you're ready to go. I set it up about 2/3 aft. Too far aft and you're carrying most of the weight on your arms. Too far forward and the balance and weight is good but if your near 6ft tall the aft end can scrape. This is because it's only got 8" wheels and it's low to the ground. This makes it less efficient towing the kayak but of its much larger it might not store and you won't be able to take it with you. You'll figure out what works pretty quickly. Sure beats carrying it on your head. And you can load up all your gear so there's only one trip to get to the water. ... show more

This is definitely cheep Chinese crap. On the second time we used it to move our completely empty, light weight, single person, sit on top kayak the metal pipe where the wheel attaches completely broke off. We had only used it on flat ground in the easiest of areas, I can’t imagine it would work on any kind of difficult ground. ... show more

Dolly was good construction, but it was going to work properly. If your has a single V hull my kayak has a double v hall so the kayak would not sit properly so I returned it.

THE PRODUCT ARRIVED AND APPEARED TO BE JUST LIKE WHAT I EXPECTED IT TO BE. IT WAS VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE. I TRIED IT OUT IMMEDIATELY ON MY 10.6 LIFETIME ENVOY. IT WORKED GREAT. I WAS ABLE TO EASILY MOVE THE KYAK AROUND ON THE DOLLY ON THE GRASS.THE ENVOY WEIGHS ABOUT 75 LBS AND ME AND MY WIFE ARE UNABLE CARRY IT OURSELVES. IF IT HOLDS UP IT WILL GREAT. ... show more

This thing is a struggle! I wish it was more convenient. Does it work ...yes.. but definitely more beneficial for light weight kayaks. After fully geared It's a challenge to load. The cart wants to move.. especially on a hill.i wish it had strap points .. bc if not correctly loaded or secured it will fold on you. .. YouTube has alot of different ways to strap but like I said it's frustrating and others say the same . I'ma prob have to modify for a quicker way to load and go with strap points or something bc not going to hold up the boat ramp .on the plus side I needed something I can load all my gear at the vehicle onto the kayak then pull to the landing ,launch and go with out going back to the vehicle. Well it did..but after leaving the lake .. it wanted to act up and not fasten not roll ..came loose... I end up driving down and getting the kayak which was the whole purpose of buying this to not have to do !! . So not going to completely blame the cart ..more user/operator error but again the strapping points suck and the strap that came with it is no good which I did switch that ..For the price.. il modify it... if no luck my other kayak can use it and I'll make my own bc ole blue is heavy. Tires are plastic but they work. Stand itself is sturdy! Just wish it came with locks and connection points . ... show more
