Not what I expected. Seems to need constant attention when watering. All water drains out into bucket and must be monitored daily. The tubes that go to the bucket are very flimsy which makes it difficult for the water to circulate through the system. I think next season I will go back to soil with something that lifts plant off ground. Gave it a try but doesn't work for me at all.

i am excited for planting season next year to try this out, i did put it together (which was a bit of a pain) and tested it out and it all seams to be working proper my only issue is that it came with a cracked pipe, while it shouldn't affect the ability of this. i did contact the seller and they did not care. you definitely need the hammer and i have no idea what the tape is for the instructions were.... ok and they never mentions the tape.

The setup works well and the pump is quiet. There is standing water in the pipes after the pump runs, which is good for the roots. Use the mallet to make sure parts are snug to prevent leaking. May want to install aquarium foam in the pipe right after the pump connection to act as a filter, to prevent clogging that will cause an overflow.

To be or not to be..NFT, that is the question (serious as cancer). This system is not non-fungible, and not nutrient film either. Sure, there’s levels to this… but ain’t no joke, it’s not actually NFT. Nutrient Film Technique requires a flat surface not PVC tubes, however great for noobs (side bar, I’ve got bars), this is really “Deep Water Flow”. While it’s functional, it’s technically incorrect. So come correct… Don’t sweat the technique.
