Listen, it was hard for me to decide which machine to buy because theirs very little reviews. But I took a leap, and purchaced this one. It was very easy to get started, it's never gotten jammed so far, it works really well. I have it in my living room, it looks nice, well made. Overall, you can't beat the price! & I got it so my kiddos could get paid in 'kindness nickles' for helping around the house. So far, it's working! Anyways. Nice machine but definitely only for casual use in a house and for kids. The entire bottom section is plastic as opposed to other machines that are a cast metal material. The coin mechanism seems pretty durable though, but the top plastic “Square Globe” did have a bit of scratching on the sides. You get what you pay for. This product is made of plastic and aluminum. It is very light weight, and probably easily broken. I wouldn't put this in a place where it can't be watched or you will lose your investment and any profits. That being said, it works great! I'm using it at my booth for vendor fairs and its easy to move and store. *Warning* Some of the new "special" quarters (Mt. Rushmore & Land Stewardship so far) do NOT fit in the opening. They are just slightly larger than other quarters and will jam the machine. Keep small pliers handy for removing them. ... show more

I’m an author and I bought this for a completely non-candy reason. I turned it into a free spin (remove the pictured pieces; there’s two layers of the mechanism to go through) as a way to grab attention of passersby with the 1/15 chance of winning a special edition book box (otherwise win a coloring page). It was the perfect size for my table, and it was a huge hit! People loved it and had a lot of fun, plus brought a lot of attention to my booth. I repainted it and it looks SO PRETTY and I can’t wait to add more decorative details to it for future events. PRO TIP: How to perfectly remove the stickers: use a hair dryer on high heat to peel off in one piece, then apply olive oil to a paper towel and rub and rub until residue is gone. I got flawless results! Money well-spent! (I used 1.1” capsules and stored the extra mechanism pieces in a bag in the coin collection part since that space wasn’t being used anyway) ... show more

Every time my granddaughter visits my home and excitedly explores my antique gumball machine, she marvels at it. The gumballs inside have been there for 10 years, so she keeps trying to taste them—they’ve become more of a nostalgic decoration than a treat. Wanting to give her a meaningful gift since she received many toys for Christmas, I bought her a red gumball machine for her 6th birthday, filling it with 1-inch different flavor gumballs so she could enjoy simple fun at home. The machine is set to the largest opening, so if she wants more than one gumball if she wishes, her mother can provide smaller ones if needed. The sturdy plastic globe is safe for little kids, even if it falls accidentally. When filled, it's quite weighty but remains secure, and it comes with a key to keep her gumballs and coins safe, which gives me peace of mind. I only wish it accepted coins other than quarters, but in the USA, it functions very reliably without jamming. It’s a wonderful value for the money. When she saw my gift, her face lit up with pure joy, and she kept asking about her gumball machine throughout the party. I gave her a roll of quarters, and now she can start enjoying treats of her own, with her mother’s help.
