There are a lot of pumps out there around this price point. What I like about this pump is it's quieter than some of the others, especially the mini-10k PSI electric pumps that scream at you. What I will say is don't expect amazing quality with this unit. Upon receiving it I completely disassembled it to give it a good cleaning which it needed, and to add a hydraulic return line fitting for using a remote 3-way valve. After resealing it and putting it back together and filling it with anti-wear ISO 32 weight oil, it runs pretty well and delivers decent flow at high pressure. The hand control lever feels cheap, the power buttons feel cheap, and there isn't much feathering to be had on the valve block if that's what you're looking for. It gets the job done and doesn't blow your eardrums out in the process. It isn't smooth by any means, and you can feel it vibrating/shaking a bit while running. This is no Enerpac TEFC style low RPM pump that's butter smooth and super quiet, but it's a good compromise for intermittent use. I had purchased one of the mini-pumps but it's so loud that I wanted to swap it out, so this is what I picked. Having said that, I somewhat wish I had gone with a remote pendant pump like my current mini-pump, since the valve on this isn't anything to write home about. Biggest plus is the noise level which I'd guess is around 1/3rd that of the higher pitched mini-pump I currently have. I'll post an update if anything changes, but there's value here. I'd say I'm a pretty decent judge since I have air over hydraulic power packs, electric power packs, and I even have a super nice Enerpac power pack which is the gold standard. It didn't wow me, but it's more than serviceable for my use cases.
