these are an incredible bargain, and worth every cent! The metal is a very heavy gauge and more than adequate for the task. The carpeted boards function as they should. Installation is about as easy as it could be. The hardware ( U-bolts) is a bit light-duty, but does seem to hold and appears to be stainless steal. The value is still there, even if you find it necessary to buy heavier U-bolts. At half the price of other brands, I bought two sets, which makes loading my 22' pontoon boat fail-proof!

When I first got these I really liked them. The install was not bad and they mounted right up. The first time I used them, I couldn't have loaded my boat any better. Then came actual travel. I drove 7 hours to a lake with my family and the bunks fell off while driving!!! One is completely gone and I pray I didn't hit another vehicle on the highway. The other is only hanging by a thread (literally). 3 screws are missing and the last is somehow holding the carpet of the bunk on. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

U-bolts are extremely flimsy and thin in diameter. Which maker the nut extremely small. Not able to tighten very much or else the U-bolts will break. Makes the whole thing wiggle and unstable.

Cheap hardware provided means a trip to the hardware store. No washers provided. Duh guys… these brackets are very heavy duty though, and powder coated. Looks like it will work fine for my speedboat trailer.

I see how this could conceivably work on some trailers, and it’s way cheaper than most other options. I took it out of the box and laid it next to my trailer and did not even attempt to install. The included hardware is nothing like what is pictured. It’s thinner than a pencil, and boats bumping into things would probably bend it easily. I would probably not use it. Too thin. The wood blocks included in the kit are MASSIVE. They are like 3” thick for some reason and just over 4” wide. They are heavy and take up space and I’m not sure why. They are wrapped not in any kind of carpet but in black felt like you’d get from a fabric store. I’d say even if you wanted to use this kit, I wouldn’t use the felt wrapped wood blocks. The steel brackets are not galvanized steel or aluminum. They are just plain old mild steel that looks like it’s been painted with a cold galvanizing paint. They are VERY heavy, maybe 15 lbs each. They have very thick wall tubing, when you hold them in your hand there’s some heft there. So they are sturdy, but most of us don’t want really heavy stuff on our trailers, and without galvanizing they aren’t gonna last in salt water. So in summary the hardware is too thin to be useful, the wood blocks are weirdly huge and not useful, wrapped in useless felt, and the brackets themselves are also really heavy and will rust and aren’t useful. The entire kit is not as advertised and I’ve sent it back for a refund.

I was hesitant to buy because of the negative reviews, but I bought them anyway. I wish I hadn't. The packaging is terrible to begin with. I was missing hardware and one of the plastic end caps had fallen off as well. The hardware is very cheap. I realized after I installed them they needed to be relocated on the trailer. When I attempted to loosen the hardware three of the 4 U-bolt shafts snapped right off. Total junk! Typical Cheap Chinese hardware!! I would not recommend buying these in the slightest. Unless you go into it with the plan on providing your own hardware.
