I’ve been running the 12,000 lb version of this for 4 years and I thought I broke it so bought this one since I figured the quality would translate over. It did not. The control box is garbage. Not that big of deal, I used the box from the other winch since I had it all wired into the truck anyways, but if you want to be able to use 6 pin connectors, you’ll need a new solenoid box. IF, you don’t really care any wiring the fwd rvrs into dash switches, you can probably get away with using the one it came with, but you can see and feel a clear quality difference on this control unit vs their 12000. The winch itself is solid though. I already gave it a quick test and it’s nice and quiet, for a winch. Let’s see if I can get 4+ years out of it. The other one isn’t actually broke. Just the neutral pin came out. After cleaning and resetting, it works great. ... show more

It's been doing great on my car trailer. It pulls up everything I've needed to pull on the trailer easily. My only complaint is it doesn't use a standard plug so you have to use the controllers that come with it.

I received a used part or it was a return from someone else. The foam board inside the box is heavily damaged. The control has a battery in it, which it's not supposed to if it's new. I am very disappointed with this brand and purchase. I will be asking for my full refund.

Full spring summer and early fall on the unit now. No issues. No fails no over heats. Read your duty cycle's people , 90 percent of winch failures are users ignoring the duty cycle! I would say this is going to prove itself a very durable unit it has been asked to exceed its ratings a few times with no problem. Noise is on par with any winch out there . Very easy install wont bother rating looks as any one with half a brain keeps a cover over synthetic rope . ... show more
