  • Cut-to-length Hoses: Our high-strength nylon hose is equipped with quick-fit 1/4'' pipe fitting for easy and fast installation and multiple re-uses. Each hose is 20' long and can be cut for your specific installation, accommodating most boats.

I’m giving it one star just because they do send new parts..With that being said, the new parts leak as well. I bought this in July of 25 and initially the cylinder at the motor was leaking from the seals on both sides. The process to get a new part sent out was pretty easy just snap a pic of leaking part and a couple weeks later the new one came. So now the cylinder was replaced and I think all is good. Btw…after paying a mechanic to do the work$250. Nope.. now the helm is leaking so I go through the process again and replace the helm another $250 to the mechanic! Once again the system is bled out and then filled up. Fast forward about 2 months and now the hydraulic fittings into the helm are leaking so I’m assuming the o-rings are bad but I have not fixed it because I’m just going to scrap it all. It’s been a year of leaking now and it has ruined my marine flooring where it keeps leaking. Now my $400 hydraulic system has cost me about $1100 due to repairs. Just buy the baystar do not waste your time! ... show more

These are an amazing alternative to the Baystar or SeaStar systems. You can’t go wrong for the price of this unit. The quality and materials are excellent and the helm is indistinguishable from the SeaStar. It appears they are the same maker for helms from SeaStar and Vevor. Best value you can find for a hydraulic steering setup. I installed it on a 90hp Honda and it is a game changer. It is very responsive, and made a huge difference in steering for my boat. Easy install on my 20 foot pontoon, there is a great YouTube video walk thru, nice packaging. Get this if your steering is getting harder on your pontoon. The pump hole was an exact fit, I just had to drill 4 holes using the template. Took me about 3 hours as I went slow.

This product failed before it ever reached the water. It was installed on a boat on which my son and I were refurbishing. One day he walked out and found the stern of the boat full of oil from the blown seals. When I contacted Vevor they said Too bad, your warranty expired two weeks ago. To be fair that is correct. However, it was never used, only installed. Not only did the product fail, but the company also failed. My advice is not to take the chance. Spend a few more dollars for a quality product from a quality company. Perhaps this was the Good Lord looking out for us. If this product failed while sitting in the yard on the trailer, having never even steered the boat, then certainly it would have left us stranded on the water. If the safety of you and your family is not a consideration, and you do not mind being stranded on the water, then roll your dice with this product. I wouldn't recommend this for a 150 HP. I think it's roughly the same as my cable steering was, but this is more difficult to maintain. I've used a seastar/baystar before and I don't agree that these are the same, this is noticeably not as nice. I would probably recommend it if you have a 115 HP or smaller, are considering replacing your cable, and haven't ever used the baystar before. ... show more
