I’ve had three ice makers now. All with self feeding water inlets. I hook it into the fridge line and it makes ice all day without having to manually fill it up. This is the best one for the price so far. It makes ice faster than all the others . It’s not a pretty ice, big chunks with a hole in it. But the way it makes ice seems simpler than the others so it seems to need less cleaning and makes faster ice. We do not have/want an icemaker in our fridge. I prefer to use the good water we purchase. A friend of mine recommended this brand, although we bought the lesser version. My only complaint is that the ice cubes are very wet. I transfer into a bag and then have to let it freeze a bit before storing. If you need to use the ice immediately you have no such issue ... show more

Waste more water than it makes ice... It might make 5lb of ice before it builds up where it dumps at and trips the full switch... The door has such huge gaps that at night the light that you can't turn off attracts bugs and they get inside. So it's ice for a cooler only.. If it's not making ice nothing is running to keep the ice from just melting away.. Waste of water and money with this thing ... show more
