  • Easy to set up
Style: Dome
This was very easy to set up once you realized at the polls go into a pocket. Instructions are not helpful. Experience with putting up tents is a Plus. What I particularly like is that you can have the awning all the way up as I have in the photo, or you can remove some of the polls and bring it all the way down to what suits you. The quality is good. The price is excellent. Really hoping that it will last for a few years. I would recommend this over the awning that the manufacturer recommends because it is narrower, a lot more expensive, and it cannot be manipulated. ... show more

  • Provides good shade
Style: Dome
I ordered this canopy to use at Scent Work dog trials. The poles that come with it are rather cheap, as well as the suction cups, one already broke. There is a small hole in the fabric as well. However, for what I need it for I will use my own current tent poles and suction cups purchased on Amazon previously. The tent itself was not too difficult to put together, by myself it took me about 35 minutes, that includes getting it on my vehicle. The “directions”, well don’t count on those, there is a nice man on YouTube, who put together a little video on this exact tent, and how to put it together. I suggest you look it up. There are some things in the bag that I am uncertain as to what they’re actually used for, but it’s of no matter to me. I hope it will work for what I need it for. ... show more

  • Perfect for my Scamp
Style: Dome
Pros: Perfect for my 2002 13” Scamp. Great value for what you get. Easy setup, very lightweight, and packs up well. Cons: Flimsy suction cups. I did what others had suggested and upgraded to a stronger suction cup. Also, the poles are not very sturdy because they don’t actually stake into the ground. I’ve had to get creative with my rope skills. ... show more

  • Versatile and Works Well for Our Teardrop Camper
Style: Dome
I searched high and low for the right canopy or awning for our teardrop trailer with a back clamshell kitchen. This was a good choice for us. It's incredibly lightweight and fits under our beds in the trailer. It was easy to set up and very sturdy once we determined how to affix it to our camper. The instructions are not very useful and kind of unreadable. But since each car or camper is different, you kind of have to figure it out on your own anyway. The actual awning has 3 elastic tent poles and is nicely constructed. The end poles have ingenious clips which keep them together, but are removable so you can adjust the height. We have used it in sun and rain and it's held up well and kept us cool and dry. It was a breeze to put away for next time. It's a good, versatile awning for multiple uses. ... show more

  • Poorly designed piece of junk
Style: Dome
I took this to a camping trip on the river this weekend and to say it's a piece of junk is an understatement. Assembling it was a joke. The poles on the non-car side do not stick in the ground, so if you have ANY amount of breeze at all, it will blow up and away. There's also no way to secure the canopy to the poles, which makes absolutely NO sense at all. Who designed this **** thing?? This thing acts like a sail once tethered to your car, so in order to keep it standing we had to jerry-rig the entire thing by cutting holes in the cover and in the pole caps and using other supplies we had to secure it to the ground. Also, the rain flap doesn't have any way to tie to the poles, so if you have it down instead up wrapped up (which, it doesn't stay wrapped up anyway), it just blows around knocking anything you have under the canopy to the ground. The tethers on the car side are not secure either. Every time we came back from the river, we would find that the breeze pulled the tethers loose and we kept having to re-tie it to the car. We didn't have weak knots either, in case that's what you're thinking. I wanted so badly to return it (even with all the modifications we made) but by the time the trip was over I was so angry with it I just threw it away. Worst thing I've ever purchased, hands down. ... show more

  • Potential awesome, field use rough
We have looked for a long time for something that could go over the door on the back of our small rv to protect the entrance from rain. Bonus if it provides shade. Popups aren't tall enough and take up too much travel space. This Hasika teardrop awning is almost perfect,..in theory. It packs relatively small. I Love the copious extra space it gives. The flexibility of setup positioning it offers is fantastic. We easily fit a love seat, 2 large chairs, a table, coolers and other crap under it. With the domed shape, we were able to open the door and not scrape the fabric. We could leave the metal poles off the nonvehicle supported end and rest it on the ground to make a small private room or a good wind barrier. Or just use one pole segment. Or two. The thing gives good shade, and decent rain protection. Some things could be improved. The tip of one of my fiberglass poles came damaged. The seam of one "inside" pole holder came apart during the second assembly. The Knot on one slider gave out. Sensing freedom, the awning turned inside out, and flipped over to the side of the rv in an attemp to escape. Yes there was wind. Wind is manageable, but a little rough on it and requires a good amount of extra hassle. There is no way to roll up the side walls. A few ties built it would have been nice, even if just for one wall. Various light weight clips and clothes pins inevitably popped off to inspire many a great clip hunt. Stronger clips might work. The awning had a great tendency to jump off the poles. Tying the guy line to the pole both over and under the grommet seemed to help. Tying to trees helped. Tying to extra poles helped. Luckily I like playing with these kinds of things. I got pretty creative to make it work, in the wind, on it's third trip out of the bag. Note, help from others makes it a lot easier, but I WAS able to set this up alone. Soooo,... yes I really like it, and yes it could be better. ... show more
