At my age, I like to have a Go Bag packed if I have to quickly go out of town, to the hospital, for myriad other reasons. This duffel, besides being made in the beautiful Flamingo Garden pattern I love, is large and padded, and can carry absolutely everything I could possibly need. The zippers are heavy-duty, the whole bag can be slung around without damage (plus, the padding will keep the contents safe). I usually don't use shoulder straps because I have a bad back, but the handles are long, well-stitched, and easy to carry, and if you like shoulder straps, one is provided. This is a wonderful bag for taking on an airplane when you don't want to check anything in. The Vera Bradley prices tend to swing wildly up and down, but I managed to get my bag while it was on sale. The bag is brand new, perfect condition, didn’t have all original packaging as it was purchased used from Amazon warehouse most likely a return. I got a GREAT DISCOUNT, and the zipper tabs had original paper on them. I’m very happy with my purchase. This duffel is huge and sooo pretty! Perfect for going to the gym as a family of 6 and being able to tote my kids swim suits, swim fins, racquets, goggles, flip flops and towels. I love this bag. The handles are BIG which is great to throw over my shoulder when traveling. I can also use the big single strap. There are lots of inside pockets which are awesome for cords or small things that get lost in a duffel bag. The outside is a very pretty shade of purple and it's a little silky which makes it look polished. I've beat it up a bunch and it takes a punch.
