First of all, I was on the fence about these boots for a long time. I finally purchased them and I am so glad I did! The packaging was magnificent! The boots came in their original box and each individual boot was in its own cloth baggie. It also came with an extra pair of laces in a different style. The boots have a side zip which is great for easy on/off. They look beautiful and are VERY comfortable! This has been something I struggle with…..finding cute shoes and boots that are also comfy! Not much in the arch support department, but there is room for an insole if you need it. I would say these run true to size. I am an 8.5 and that’s what I got. They have a bit of extra room in the toe but that is ok because you can wear a warm sock! All around winner!!!!

Bought these for a trip and they did not disappoint. We walked 60 miles during the week of the trip and I was wearing these shoes for a good half of that journey. They were comfortable for my slightly wide flat feet and look really cute with everything. Great quality for the price.

I bought these boots for a trip to visit my aunt in Ireland, and they did very well. It was cold and dry at that time and the boots are so wide it was easy to get heavy socks in them. They did well in the dampness and puddles we did come across, but they slid a lot at the heel even with inserts (Scholls) and heavy socks. No blisters, though, and I walked miles in them. Still, I wish they weren't so loose. I now understand the reviewer who mentioned cankles!

Really happy with these boots. They are comfortable for walking, hiking, or driving. I took them on a trip to the UK and walked endless miles of country roads and footpaths, in all kinds of weather. They kept my feet dry, warm, and comfortable. No break-in time at all. I live in a tropical climate, so I won't be able to wear them much at home unless we get some cool weather. But they will def be coming with me on any trip north. Fit is true enough to size. I normally wear a 9.5 in boots, and with the 9.5 I had enough room for decent socks. For very thick socks you may want to go up at least a half size. The fit is somewhat narrow in the toe box, so if you have wide feet this might be an issue. The length was fine.

I was hesitant to purchase these because of the price. Normally with shoes you get what you pay for and these were on the inexpensive side for combat boots. They are very comfortable, true to size, and I get tons of compliments on them! I’ve only had them a month, so can’t speak to durability - but I love them.

I like this boot. Many, many years ago, I used to have an almost identical style (in leather) purchased from Eddie Bauer. I looked on their website and couldn’t find the boot. Not sure if they still make it or if it’s out of season. For the price this boot is stylish although a little boaty feel at the top of my feet, the length/size is perfect. My feet tend to expand and contract slightly so this may work out well. After wearing it for a few days, I can tell this boot may make my feet feel hot-meaning the synthetic material doesn’t breathe like leather. Because of that, this fall I’ll check back with Eddie Bauer in hopes they have the leather boot. For the deep discounted price, I’ll live with this boot for play days. Update to my previous review. It’s now Dec 2021 and colder weather has come to California . I’ve been wearing these boots as I fly up and down the state to see family and friends for a few months now. My goodness they are sooo comfortable and the cushion in the sole is soo soft when I’m walking the long corridors of the airport and sightseeing in the cities. I’m now sold on these boots for the comfort and beauty. I was concerned about the lack of breathing since they are synthetic but that’s not an issue at all. Also, I get so many compliments on their beauty. I’m ordering another pair in the darker brown or black. One thing that I’ve yet to figure out is how to get the shoe lace to stay tied. Both keep coming untied even if I tuck it it inside the top area. However, that’s minor and I’ll have a few kids help show me how to tie it securely. I love the side zipper as well. That helps In instances when airport metal detectors go off. These boots will trigger the security and they’ll have you remove them even in the TSA pre check line. No problem, the zipper makes it easy to slip back on after going thru security. I was also concerned about them feeling big at the top of my feet but now I do like that I’ve ordered a half size larger because this winter I’m wearing thicker socks. I can now comfortably recommend you give this boot a chance for comfort, style, ease of wear and reasonably priced. Good luck to everyone.

I was looking for a replacement for some older Guess black combat style boots & found that Guess doesn't make the ankle boots this year or boots with the regular combat sole, just chunky sole boots that are higher. So I ordered these boots in leather. They took over a week to get here and what arrived was a beautiful synthetic boot in a box marked as the leather version. The boot itself does not have any marking saying it's leather except the L behind the style number. The vinyl is thin and fused to some foam type lining. The insole may be comfortable, I couldn't tell because the shoe was so tight, and there are round bumps on the sole from the arch to the toe. I took a picture of that. The boots are actually narrows, at least in the leather version that's not really leather. I loosened the shoelaces as much as I could & still could barely stuff my foot in them. They are too tight over the top of the arch and in the toes. They seem to be long enough although the bumps under my toes , the bumps on the insole, felt like they were coming up at my toes, so I couldn't really tell. The round shoelaces are very stiff, so you'll have to buy some new ones, adding to the cost of the boots. A pair of cork insoles were included in the box as a gift, to use if the shoes were too big. Is that a joke? They must have some real manufacturing problems with the vinyl shoes designated as leather.
