So this is a sturdy cat tree for small cats and or older cats who don't like to climb much. It took me awhile to assemble it but that's because I kept dropping the dang metal hex/screw driver tool that is so annoying. I highly recommend you use a drill or hex tool with handles to make things quicker. Anyway I finally got this together, I had to look at the directions several times because I got mixed up and put things on the wrong side. But I digress....this cat tree looks decent although I can't understand why they used such thin gray material instead of something that would have blended nicely with the tan and brown scratch board with the black metal frame. If you have an active cat then be prepared they will shred this fabric in no time (I have a senior cat so it should be okay for her). But if I give this to my son for his two jumbo cats they will make a mess of it in no time. So I took away one star for using such thin fabric and no sisal rope around the posts. Otherwise for the price it's a decent quality cat tree. I recommend this for docile cats who aren't destructive. UPDATE: So turns out my senior 18 year old cat refused to entertain any interest in this cat tree, in fact she acted as if it didn't exist. She is a diva. So yesterday it now resides at my son's house and his cats are thoroughly inspecting it and I have placed in front of their favorite back door bird observatory lounge area. I think it will get a real work out and given the affordable price it'll be a good choice for any cat who loves to climb. I will update how long the fabric lasts but my son's cat is a 15lb maniac who destroys boxes and any bags. He will be the best test of durability. Give your kitties a nice perch to enjoy life inside where it's safe for them.

The quality on this isnt the greatest being honest here, as the carpet like material is very very thin and so is the cardboard and plastic-board scratching areas so durability is a we shall see after a few weeks then I'll update the review scenario. This was fast and easy to put together with the included wrench, that is something I like to see in these types of items as many people arent going to have power tools or ratchets or the desire to need them to assemble basic pet furniture. This is solid once assembled but some basic materials changes could of made it much better and heavier duty such as even 1mm thicker carpet . They do give you a nice square steel tube frame, great , thats actually a very nice feature that (could have) held 50lbs easily but then no it cant they've given you plastic screws... $1 worth of hardware (probably 10 cents for the manufacturer) could have made it hold 2 big or even 3 cats... maybe not mine as they destroy everything they get their little paws on but normal cats. All in all they're loving it and they're actually using it so its doing its job.

Overall it is a nice cat tree, the material is pretty standard for the fabric, but the scratcher feels a bit more resistant than normal. The hanging toy catched my cats attention for a minute, but that was it, my cat is pretty old and isn't too much into cat trees to be honest, this is the 2nd one I try and he hasn't played with it, even when I put some catnip on it. About the cat tree itself, really easy to assemble, it can be used for adults cats too even when it says it is designed for kittens as it isn't that small as you can see in the pictures. I think it is good enough to last a couple of years as I have had other trees made with the same material and they've lasted pretty long... I feel that overall is a good investment for our money.

Great cat tower for the price. It was easy to put together and feels really sturdy. It doesn't seem to wobble with the cats on it or feel/look like it's leaning when one of the cats are in the basket on the one side. Our cats are on the larger side too (not as big as some household cats, but they're definitely not little cats). The cats seem to like it. It's not a tall tower- so pay attention to the dimensions if you're looking for something taller.

The quality of this tree is not great. The boards are thin, the “carpet” is like very thin minky fabric that won’t hold up to cat claws. The item is a bit wobbly. The metal frame for the cardboard scratcher is the most stabilizing aspect of the tree. I wouldn’t suggest this for large cats like mine unless it is secured to the wall or up against something. One leap onto it would like cause it to topple over. Assembly was a bit challenging because it’s very hard to blindly line up screws when you cannot see where the holes are. With that being said, my cats do absolutely love sitting on the top perch and lording over the other cats. It’s been in consistent use by 3 of 4 cats since I put it together. My 4th cat? Well, she is 18 pounds and not very spry with a bum leg. The tree is too narrow and awkward for her to climb or jump on. I don’t expect this item will last long due to marginal quality issues.

My daughter was very excited to build this cat tree/scratcher for her sweet little cat. Having assembled dozens of cat trees in her former role at a large pet supply store, she knows of which she speaks when it comes to putting together pet furniture. Her assessment of this tree was very positive. She noted that the instructions were clear and included helpful diagrams, and that all parts were present and accounted for. All necessary tools for assembly are included in the hardware kit, though you may want to use your own screwdriver rather than the one included as part of the Allen wrench. She did note that folks with poor hand-eye coordination or unsteady hands might find this cat tree a little harder to assemble, because some of the pre-drilled holes are surprisingly challenging to locate on account of the shaggy fabric covering. Once assembled, this tree has proved to be sturdy and the cat took right to it. The cat tree was delivered just over a week after ordering, arrived in perfect shape and as described. I recommend this tree as an affordable, sturdy option for kittens & cats alike.
