I needed a sturdy, attractive, but reasonably priced TV stand for a 75" TV purchased as a gift for a relative. Stands made from "engineered wood" are usually flimsy and don't last over time, especially in humid climates, and are often overpriced. When placing a large 65" or larger TV on such a stand sturdiness is critical. At first I was a bit skeptical that the Vicelo TV stand would not be sturdy enough. I was completely wrong. The stand is made from very solid metal pieces, precision welded. The stand comes with a large sheet that shows the assembly steps and if you've ever assembled anything you should not find any issues with the instructions. Using the instruction sheet, assembly was very simple and worked. Not a single part was missing, and all assembly hardware was complete with a spare item for each screw. What was especially nice was that all hole in all the metal and surface tops were perfectly aligned and everything fit with precision. What I especially liked is the sturdy metal sliders that screw into the metal frame. The sliders are metal not cheap plastic. If your stand is on a wood floor or short-carpeted floor you'll be able to move the stand even with the TV on it very easily by sliding the stand. So once the TV in on the stand, moving it out to get behind the TV is easily done without worrying about bending the frame of the stand. Purchased a new TV so I needed a new larger and steadier stand so I ordered this item. I was hesitant to order at first as none of us in this seniors household is very handy but to my surprise it really was not as difficult as I had imagined. I found the instructions were easy to understand. The screws were all separately packed by item number and the big pieces were all given easy identifications. There was even a screwdriver enclosed. I didn't buy this for a TV, as can be seen by my photos. I did buy this for my guitar amps that I wanted to get closer to ear level and off of the floor. I bought this stand for the price and specs said that the top shelf could hold 160 pounds. Plus it was the right length for the space I had available. I did not like the wooden box in the middle so I only used the bottom part as a shelf. I like the look of it better this way. Directions were easy to understand and I posted them to show if any are interested in just how easy they are to understand. I will say that the only thing that is problematic in putting this unit together is when attaching part #9 in step 7, if you tighten completely you will have problems lining up the box shelf in step 8. in fact I would suggest putting part #9 on at the end of step 3. It could potentially make attaching the box shelf a little bit more complicated because of weight (if you were fully assembling the box) but you won't have any problems with holes lining up or anything being out of "square". I have only received this today, so I cannot comment towards how this stand will last but it does seem sturdy enough with a 100 pounds on the top shelf. I would recommend this for someone on a budget that needs a sturdy TV stand. ... show more
