There's nothing wrong with the item. Seems to work fine. But one of the pictures in the description shows it having a usb c port for charging. As of 12/27/25 this is not the case. Would normally be a non issue but I lost my charger and just looking for the cheapest way to get my flash working without having to buy another charger for the batteries. I bought this because it's advertised that have USB charging and don't have any USB charger or led as the product picture, I chose this instead the Godox OEM because of that.

This review is for the Eeyrnduy VB18 Rechargeable Lithium Battery for Godox V850 V850II V860 I'm using this battery in my Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2 TTL branded Godox V860II. If you're not familiar with the Flashpoint brand, Godox white labels many of their units for resellers to sell as their own brand. Flashpoint is still a Godox manufactured item, the only difference is the name printed on it. The battery looks and feels exactly like the OEM battery. Upon placing it in the flash upon arrival, the flash was immediately ready and showed 3/4 full bars. Placing it in the charger it registered just fine and showed 50% charge. Recycle time was as fast as the OEM. Comparing the specs of the Eeyrnduy VB18 to the Flashpoint branded Godox battery, the Eeyrnduy has the same capacity as the OEM. I have 3 R2's and have been using batteries which came from my other flashes to use as spares. Now I have a truly extra spare battery. My Flashpoint/Godox batteries have all lasted many years so far with no drops in performance. Should that be different with the Eeyrnduy VB18 I'll update my review. I keep all of my Li-ion batteries flash/camera etc. at about a 40% charge while in storage waiting for the next use. I also generally don't charge them higher than 80% for shorter sessions where I know I won't need a 100% charge. I think doing these things makes a huge difference on battery Li-ion life. ... show more

I feel that price informs value and try to include the price I paid in all my reviews. I recommend everyone do the same. In this case, I paid $28.79 on 12/14/23. I was more than a bit upset when the lithium battery on my godox flash stopped charging. So I went on a battery hunt and was dumbfounded by how expensive the replacements are for is a rather tiny example of Lithium batteries. I guess that's why you create your own form factor. Rather than pay half the price of the flash for a first-party battery that had already failed me, I looked to alternatives. I still think that nearly $30 for a 22w/hr battery is insane, but less so than Godox branded. It has worked exactly as the OEM so far. Unfortunately, at the time of this review, the regular price on these is ridiculous as well, almost as much as OEM. At that point, why would you roll the dice on an off-brand. So, I would definitely recommend at $28 or lower, but not at "regular" price. If not on sale, spend a couple of bucks more and just the Godox. ... show more
