I was super frustrated with the new $1200 mattress we purchased one year ago that was so incredibly uncomfortable and there was no return policy after 90 days. We hoped to break it in as the mattress experts say you have to do. That didn't work and we were stuck with it! I spent $160.00 on a great memory foam topper with 5 star reviews and it made the nights a little better but still not great. I still woke up pretty sore. I decided to give these medical grade eggcrate toppers a try, and the bed felt better but not great with this topper on top of the new memory foam, it was too squishy, so I got rid of that and ordered 2 more of these eggcrates to go on top of the others, double the eggcrate and problem solved!! Just getting adjusted to the new and improved bed now and now wake up with hardly any pain, I'm certain what little pain I am still feeling is my body recovering from the last year of horrific pain... no joke! I used 2 doubled up on each side of our California king size bed and they fit perfect. I would definitely recommend these toppers for every night use for years to come. No more buying pricy stoopid mattresses, just buy these instead and change them out when needed. I bet they will last for years! VERY HAPPY!! 2 month follow up 9/13 I no longer feel any back pain after at least 8 hours in bed! Sleep is Wonderful again! Buy This!!!! ... show more

This egg crate is the best type of topper. It's the one medical folks recommend. I'm 70 and my bed started to get a bit uncomfortable. This made a cozy difference. I swear by it! PS cover it with an absorbent mattress cover to prevent over heating from the foam.

The topper wasabout 3 inches short for the Xl twin . I found that the egg shapes did not. help My back pain -It did cause pain in my lower back. It also kept slipping to left when i sat up. Not very stationary..
