We all know Pelican cases are historically high in quality and reliable but here’s a couple features I personally enjoy. It’s not just carry on size but also has a pressure release valve for high altitudes (flying). Having wheels and a retractable handle make being on the go a whole lot simpler. I’m always on the run and being able to open the case in a snap is crucial which is why I love the wide and thumb friendly latches. I can open the case super fast while giving directions on set. Lastly, everything I store inside use to go into 2 backpacks. Now, I have instant visibility which saves me time because I’m no longer need to sift through bags to find what I need. ... show more

I want all my camera gear to stay safe. This case has the sturdiness, security, and padding. The extending handle is more and more useful. The locking options are sturdy. I have a backpack and this case for my camera gear. I end up using this case more.

The Vault is great for the price, but there’s a few things to note. The plastic is not as hard as a pelican. The lid doesn’t sit flush the whole way around. There are no stainless steel hasps as advertised…? Why? The latches don’t feel very heavy duty. There is no TrekPak available and it’s difficult to find a lid organizer. It’s not waterproof. Positives. The price is good. The handles do feel like good quality. It rolls great. It’s the perfect weight. The padded dividers are great. Also I did a lot of research on pelicans and they may not be all that they’re cracked up to be. They can and do break. The latches often open when sent as checked luggage on airplanes and then break, this new latch design is therefore superior as they lock. The pelican warranty is not what it seems, they will not just replace a broken case. So why spend the extra $100? ... show more

This is a great case. It held almost all of my camera gear for this camera. Holds 3 lenses, camera with a lens on, battery packs and charger, Some of my ND filters etc. I could have gone just a little bigger, but then would be heavier. I really like the latching system. Easy for these old fingers to unlatch. I have other pelican cases and they are much harder to unlatch. The button in the middle of these latches makes it easier to unlatch. I have not taken this out in the field yet, so will see how I like in a year or so. ... show more
