The item arrived on time. The box was quite beaten up but nothing inside was damaged! The instructions on how to put the furniture together were super easy to follow. I was able to put it together by myself although the instructions said that it takes 2 people. The only problems were the hooks. I felt that there was a better way to attach them. Although there were pre-drilled holes, it was very difficult to screw the little screws in. I feel that the quality of the item is very high. Although the wood is pressed wood, it's really sturdy and looks of high quality. I really like the feet that had to be screwed in. They are rubbery and can be adjusted. The metal is of good quality too. The furniture came with attachments to secure it to the wall but I didn't want to drill holes and since it stands very securely I opted not to use them. I was nicely surprised by the quality of the whole furniture and would purchase it again. ... show more

I absolutely love my hall tree. I have it between my bedroom and my bathroom and I put my laundry basket on it and the bags that I take with me most often and my most used shoes and it's just fantastic. Really nice quality and feels very sturdy and well made, especially considering the fact that it was an Amazon kit. I'm very impressed for that. Feels nice, looks nice, I use it every single day and I love it. Paid $65 on Prime Day. It was available for a bit over $70 a few days later as well, just for refrence. Suits my purpose is perfectly. All I really wanted was something to put my daily wear shoes in and my laundry basket on. I got that and more. I love the ability to hang bags and hats and random things on it as well as using it as a laundry unloading station with my fresh laundry. It has the clothing rack for hangers and plenty of space on the bench to unload. I also like being able to sit down and put my shoes on. You can fit four to five pairs of tennis shoes across on their own (more if you don't care about easy access). Or if you have cats who chew shoelaces like me, you can put bins in there to work as drawers and fit a few less. If you don't have cats who would pull them out and use them as toys, you could even put sandals underneath the bottom shelf. ... show more

This rack is the perfect size for our front hall and conveniently holds the family coats, shoes, gloves, book bags, and hats. It went together very easily, although I would recommend using a standard screwdriver if you have one, as the combination hex wrench / screwdriver provided is functional at best. The quality seems solid for the price. The simulated wood grain boards look good and the parts all fit together very cleanly. The only pieces that weren’t great were the metal hooks, which had some manufacturing defects. I didn’t deem them serious enough to request replacements though. The rack is stable and sturdy. Mine wobbles a bit at the top because I did not want to screw it to our plaster walls, but I would imagine if I had used the provided straps it would be solid as a rock. ... show more

The best freaking coat rack i could've bought! Seriously. This thing holds so much weight, and doesn't even begin to bend, warp, or tip. Super easy to build. I'm a single mom, 5'3"-- not a big person and I did it with my 3 year old "helping" me. And two other kids observing and mixing up screws here and there. Put it together in about 30 minutes, maybe less. I looked at hundreds of different models, read a ton of reviews, and finally settled on this one. Left it in my cart for a few days, mulling it over and, at last, ordered it. SO GLAD I DID. Arrived quickly, bought for a great deal. And now my entry way is ORGANIZED. With not a lot of space and two kids in school in an area where you always have to dress in layers, it was a much needed investment. Couldn't ask for a better experience. 10/5 stars ... show more

This checked all the boxes we were looking for. Metal shoe rack, no cubbies, sturdy hooks, top shelf, and no bars or obstructions along the ends as we have a large space and wanted to put two together an not have anything along the edge breaking up the benchs. They were easy and fun to put together. You can do it alone, but it was easier with two people. I was really determined to find a rack of hooks for my entryway with brass hardware to match the light fixtures in my front room and ended up purchasing this to also replace my shoe shelf. The fact that it also has an upper shelf and bench is a godsend. It looks so much neater than my old entryway storage system and comfortably fits everything I need for going to/from work, dog walks, etc very efficiently. As others mentioned, it is indeed very compact which is a relief since I worried about a hall tree making my entryway crowded. As others mentioned, some of the pilot holes for the hook screws are uneven but this is easy to rectify by angling the screws a little as you put them in and twisting the hooks as needed. I mean, this is coming from the amazon version of ikea, so not shocking there would be something like that. But overall, for the price I am really thrilled with the value. ... show more
