This checked all the boxes we were looking for. Metal shoe rack, no cubbies, sturdy hooks, top shelf, and no bars or obstructions along the ends as we have a large space and wanted to put two together an not have anything along the edge breaking up the benchs. The item arrived on time. The box was quite beaten up but nothing inside was damaged! The instructions on how to put the furniture together were super easy to follow. I was able to put it together by myself although the instructions said that it takes 2 people. The only problems were the hooks. I felt that there was a better way to attach them. Although there were pre-drilled holes, it was very difficult to screw the little screws in. I feel that the quality of the item is very high. Although the wood is pressed wood, it's really sturdy and looks of high quality. I really like the feet that had to be screwed in. They are rubbery and can be adjusted. The metal is of good quality too. The furniture came with attachments to secure it to the wall but I didn't want to drill holes and since it stands very securely I opted not to use them. I was nicely surprised by the quality of the whole furniture and would purchase it again. ... show more

I absolutely love my hall tree. I have it between my bedroom and my bathroom and I put my laundry basket on it and the bags that I take with me most often and my most used shoes and it's just fantastic. Really nice quality and feels very sturdy and well made, especially considering the fact that it was an Amazon kit. I'm very impressed for that. Feels nice, looks nice, I use it every single day and I love it. Paid $65 on Prime Day. It was available for a bit over $70 a few days later as well, just for refrence. Suits my purpose is perfectly. All I really wanted was something to put my daily wear shoes in and my laundry basket on. I got that and more. I love the ability to hang bags and hats and random things on it as well as using it as a laundry unloading station with my fresh laundry. It has the clothing rack for hangers and plenty of space on the bench to unload. I also like being able to sit down and put my shoes on. You can fit four to five pairs of tennis shoes across on their own (more if you don't care about easy access). Or if you have cats who chew shoelaces like me, you can put bins in there to work as drawers and fit a few less. If you don't have cats who would pull them out and use them as toys, you could even put sandals underneath the bottom shelf. ... show more

This entryway rack has everything we want. Good quality at a fair price. It is lightweight yet sturdy. The instructions were clear, parts were well labeled and nothing missing. All holes aligned. My husband and I have mobility issues, so we took our time, but it was easy to assemble. Comments from other buyers were helpful. This really is a great coat-rack/shoe storage for your mudroom or wherever you need to use it. The semi-steampunk industrial look is very appealing and the piece is super sturdy even with eight or nine of my big-guy coats hanging on it. It is however, value furniture and shortcuts have been taken to ensure that value-price. 1. Both of the standards on each end of the item are drilled from the same side. This isn't a huge deal other than the fact that you can only countersink the screws on one side of the piece. The other side cannot. No one will ever see this flaw but as the somewhat OCD owner who put it together, I know about it, and it's truthfully driving me up the wall. 2. Do not use a power screwdriver when installing the mounting hardware onto the bench seat. I did and the receptor for the screw that was already in the bench started turning too without me knowing it and I now have a slightly raised section in the dead center of my bench where it tried to go all the way through before I figured out what was going on. Again, I realize this is value furniture but those two things kinda hurt the value part for me. For what you get, this should be priced WAY lower than what it is. Again, not a bad piece. When you shortcut it into the ground and then charge premium, you run the risk of someone like me only buying the one piece. I love the style and hoped to buy several of the other pieces to match it because they really are nice looking. Not going to happen now. ... show more

    • The best coat rack, hands down-- don't bother looking anywhere else
The best freaking coat rack i could've bought! Seriously. This thing holds so much weight, and doesn't even begin to bend, warp, or tip. Super easy to build. I'm a single mom, 5'3"-- not a big person and I did it with my 3 year old "helping" me. And two other kids observing and mixing up screws here and there. Put it together in about 30 minutes, maybe less. I looked at hundreds of different models, read a ton of reviews, and finally settled on this one. Left it in my cart for a few days, mulling it over and, at last, ordered it. SO GLAD I DID. Arrived quickly, bought for a great deal. And now my entry way is ORGANIZED. With not a lot of space and two kids in school in an area where you always have to dress in layers, it was a much needed investment. Couldn't ask for a better experience. 10/5 stars ... show more
