I love this filing cabinet. It's pretty, I can put my printer on top of it. It is well made. It is roomy. My old filing cabinet was metal and just fit standard letter papers. And I mean just fit. The sides of most of my documents were dog eared. This is adjustable for regular letter and legal size paper. I chose letter, so I have room. I have my documents I access regularly in the top cabinets. No bending over! I can sit and access easily. .The directions are a bit sketchy. It did take some time to put together, but the husband is handy and with minimal help from me, had it done in a flash. Didn't time it. A few hours. With beers. For me. The price wasn't too bad either.

So the item was the wrong color to start with but decided to keep it any way. Assembly was easy enough until I got to the last drawer. The bottom file drawer does not fit no matter what I’ve done after reworking and trying every different configuration, reading the directions multiple times. The bottom drawer is about a half inch too big and will not shut.

Overall it is sturdy and looks nice. It serves the purpose well as a file cabinet with extra drawers and shelves for storage. It took me a long time to put this together. It has cam lock fasteners which I HATE. I bought a desk from Sedeta and it had no cam lock fasteners. My main gripe is they give you a screwdriver which most everyone already has but they don't give you anything but small allen wrenches for the other fasteners that aren't phillips head. The instructions show to use the screwdriver and a drill. The allen wrenches they give you are not compatible with a drill. Furthermore, there are 2 different size allen screws. One is 5/32 which is the most common size allen head. I have a t handle that size so no problem there. The other size is 3mm. Nobody has a 3mm t handle. I tried to hacksaw the 90 degree bend off of it so I could stick it in my cordless drill but it is hardened so I couldn't even make a dent in it. Very frustrating. I ended up using a metric fold out set of allen wrenches and turned and turned and turned the long screws until I aggravated my carpal tunnel. Ridiculous! They could have included some sort of cheap 3 mm allen attachment that you could put into a drill. To top it off, the included screwdriver started shedding green residue all over the place. It is some sort of cheap grip they put on the screwdriver handle that just disintegrated after the first 2 screws. Not impressed with the assembly and included tools/fasteners. I should give it less stars but overall it is a decent piece of furniture for the money. One last note, the letter stickers are super hard to remove and require goo gone to completely remove them.

I was on the hunt for the cheapest (but not crappy), 2-drawer, lockable filing cabinet I could find. This definitely serves that purpose. It's very sturdy and does not feel or look cheap or crappy. Some notes: 1. The drawers do not pull out all the way, so you cannot access items at the back of the drawers easily. 2. I found it easy enough to assemble using the instructions. The instructions are visual (no verbal steps), and the only place where I needed help (from my mechanically inclined husband) was in understanding/adjusting the locking mechanism. We ended up doing that very easily but I would have struggled on my own. 3. This was easy enough but not explained in the instructions - there are two options for where to place the bars and it's just for the size of your folders. The inner option is for letter sized folders.

Minor issue which was easy to resolve. Instructions were very clear and the item is very sturdy. Good value for the money!

Count all parts before starting assembly- instructions are not written only drawings. Holes are not drilled only indicated as to location. Putting screws in will punch hole in outside making it look shabby. Do not assemble if you have not done this before.

We originally intended to use this to hold our printer, with the handy shelf for printer paper underneath the top shelf. Instead, we decided to tuck it under the desk (with the printer on the desk above it). It is great that it was designed to fit under the desk from the matching line of furniture. The shelf for paper still comes in handy for exactly the same purpose. Two of the wheels have locks/brakes on them to help keep the unit from moving, if needed. The filing cabinet and drawer both seem well-designed. The smaller drawer is really handy for holding specialty printer papers, envelopes, filing tabs/supplies, etc. The larger filing drawer can be set up to accommodate A4 paper size or US Letter paper size. NOTE: the step where the two metal rods are screwed into place to hold hanging files, does not specify which position fits which paper size. That is mentioned later toward the end of the instructions, almost as a follow-up note (like, "hey by the way if you move this rod to a different position that's how you set it up for a different file size" - along with the key showing which position works with which size). They really should mention that when those rods are first being inserted and screwed into the unit, but, they can be changed with relatively little fuss, so, it isn't a huge deal. Overall it is a really nice piece with a lot of thoughtful features. A bit pricey - but when comparing to similar units, it seems to be pretty much in the ballpark of the cost of other options. Happy with this purchase.
