This hall tree arrived today, it came in less than 24 hours since I ordered it which surprised me. At first I was hesitant in ordering this after seeing the reviews but I will say everything so far is great. It took me an hour maybe an hour and half to put it all together. All the pieces fit together perfectly and the directions were clear. My wife helped a little bit by holding a piece here and there but I mostly put it together all by myself. So far so good everything seems very sturdy with the product and it seems like a decent quality for the price. I have only 2 complaints about this product, the white is more of an off white/light beige-y color and would have preferred if it was more white. And it came with 2 anchors and on the hall tree there are two notches for the anchors to go, I put the anchor above the hall tree but the notches remain and look a little awkward. All in all so far so good, I would recommend

Awesome hall tree, assembly is normal to products in this price range. Assembly can be difficult if you do not read directions properly, just take your time and it’ll come together. Very sturdy when done. Would highly recommend, our whole home is pretty much finished with Ashely Furniture and you couldn’t tell this piece was any less quality than high dollar furniture. Just BUY IT!

I’m SO pleased with all the cubbies, hooks and shelves this beautiful hall tree has! It is HEAVY (~130 lbs) and sturdy, and the instructions were fairly straightforward. The size measurements are spot on to the description, and all of the pieces were correctly labeled. I also appreciate that many of the shelves can be moved up or down a couple inches to accommodate different storage height needs. It took 3 - 3.5 hours to completely assemble by myself. To save your hands and time (on the 130+ screws and bolts), you can use a power drill rather than the little screwdriver and allen wrench that come with the hall tree. The finish is a slightly textured, thin veneer over MDF, and nickel-sized veneer stickers in the same finish are provided to cover any visible screws/hardware. The veneer around the pre-drilled holes does chip easily when adding what they call bolts (so do this slowly), but all of those problem areas eventually become hidden behind the structural “wood” pieces … so you can’t see any chips when the hall tree is fully assembled. The packaging did arrive damaged (see photos), but the only damage to the hall tree components was a small chip in the veneer of the back piece for the shoe cubbies. It wasn’t even that noticeable when tucked behind the cubbies, but I was able to cover it with one of the veneer stickers to hide it completely. The back pieces that go behind the cubbies/shelves are thin and a little flimsy and could easily crack/break if not handled with care. Also, there was a noticeable 2-3 mm gap on one side of the crossed back piece once assembled, but it’s always covered by our hanging jackets. Overall, this is such a good quality piece for the price, and I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn’t come slightly damaged and because the provided tools could be better. If you don’t have a drill, get yourself a really nice ergonomic screwdriver; your hands will thank you.

1) it’s not antique white. It’s kind of yellowish with splotches of black streaks. (See photo). When we first opened the box, we simultaneously said “This needs to be painted!” We primed it with a paint specifically for pressboard. (There are something like 28 pieces. Just priming them took hours. We stored them flat, with parchment paper in-between them until we had time to assemble them. 2) boards are warped. This means they arrived warped. Just trying to align them is a nightmare. 3) the upper back pieces are put together with 1/4” overlap. We were careful not to apply paint to those edges. We reinforced the center pieces with wood glue, using clamps and then metal plates. (See photo) we put the metal plates on the front and back of the pieces we actually got put together. The plates were necessary to get the pieces to line up properly. The meta plates, if you buy enough to reinforce the entire project, cost is about $50! 4) when we tried to put the last piece of the extremely thin back together, the slots and pegs were impossible to align. We are not inexperienced in the process of putting flat packs together, but just 3pieces of the back took us about 4 hours. And we let each one dry overnight on a flat table. 5) after wasting hours of our time and $240, this project ended up on the back porch, soon to be cut up and hauled away. (See photo) (we offered the assembled pieces and rest of the. kit to anyone, for free. No one wanted it.) 7) do NOT buy this! Find a used piece of furniture or get something from a well-known box store that offers flat packs that don’t have 1/4” thick back boards. 5) this piece of garbage was outrageously expensive. A lot of swear words were used. There are better options. Find them!

I absolutely love this hall tree. It looks great in our entry hall. It took two of us to put this together, but it’s relatively easy with the step by step instructions, and it took less than two hours! The end results are worth it!! It’s a good, sturdy piece of furniture and it looks more expensive than it actually is…so a great buy! It holds all of our jackets, my purse and shoes, plus it has room for pictures and other home decor items! I would definitely recommend this purchase.

There were parts of this hall tree that were so hard to put together- particularly the back panels that you slide in. You have to have two people to put this together and it is still tricky. I broke some of the connectors because it was not sturdy enough while trying to slide in the back pieces. I left off the last piece at the bottom because it was causing such an issue. The piece still looks good but it is not very strong. Typically, I am happy with Vasagle products but this one was actually as cheap as its price. It will work for now as long as we do not overload it. But next time, I will invest more money into a hall tree.

The positve: Assembly was straightforward Holes lined up Extra screws Assembly was just over 2 hours The negative: The box was heavy. Get help if you are moving this up or down stairs. Wall mouting parts were plastic. I feel metal would have been more stable.

Absolutely beautiful and well built! Holds a lot and the bench holds 300# I know some of the reviews aren’t that good but I looked on Wayfair and the reviews were better so I went with it and I’m so glad I did!
