To say I'm not handy would be an understatement of epic proportions. If there's a way to mistakenly put something together upside down or backwards I will find that way long before I find the right way. So I wasn't convinced I could assemble this baby and I had a handy friend on-call in case of disaster. None of that was necessary as every piece of this sturdy table is clearly-labeled, and the instructions are very clear. All the pieces fit as they were supposed to, I only needed a screwdriver bit on a drill (yes, I own a drill, what do you think I am, a luddite?) to lock-in one screw that was tight. Other reviews say it takes 20 minutes. It took me 30 minutes, which I considered breathtakingly fast! The table itself is SOLID and well-made. Good, even, black powder coated welded steel with reinforcements for the top. The top itself is covered in what looks and feels like wood, looking exactly as it does in the photo (meaning weathered and used, which is a good look). That said, to match my furniture I bought a roll of black woodgrain contact paper here on Amazon (Heroad Brand Peel and Stick Wallpaper Contact Paper) to easily update the top to a simple, yet still woodgrain, black). I have used this table often to hold my computer for zoom and movies and it 1) hasn't fallen apart despite the fact that I put it together, and 2) been anything but perfect. It tucks neatly under the sofa so the tabletop is conveniently at hand, and the design is simple, modern and unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite end table. It can be easily moved to hold your drink or food while watching tv but can sit on the side of the couch and look like a pretty end table. It's not too heavy to move and is so useful in a small space. Highly recommend. Oh, and set up wasn't too hard.
