First off, this is a well-designed, sturdy and stylish stool that matched the height requirement we were looking for. Instructions are complete, and there were even extra fasteners supplied in case the count was wrong or you lost one. ‘Nuff said there. My mistake was a.) ordering an Amazon Warehouse item - probably a return - and b.) not unboxing and inspecting this quickly and completely. The first stool went together quickly, but when I slid the second seat out I found that the seating surface has been punched through. bought 2 sets. combined due to broken pieces and missing parts - 4 stools = 1 usable stool. one set, seats were damaged. second set back rests did not have threaded sleeve inserts so there was no way to attach them to the brackets.

I love the look and for the price, you can’t beat it. That being said, both backs have had to be tightened multiple times. I have an island that I cook at. After being on my feet all day teaching, I wanted a tall chair to sit down on while cooking or being in the kitchen for prolonged periods. These have worked lovely with the exception on the backs always coming loose. I have considered getting some lock tight and I am hoping that will solve the issue. They are wood and not made for comfort but they do well for bar stools or, as I use them, to sit around the island while I cook. ... show more

First off I'll say I purchased these "used". They were significantly cheaper and I was terrified. Would it be damaged? Would all the parts be there? I ordered 2 sets. The first ones came and I put them together fairly easily. All parts were accounted for and they even include a bag of extras. Those came in handy because the second set arrived the next day and it did not include all the pieces. But with the extras from the other set I had the perfect amount. It worked out great. These chairs are tall and fit our breakfast bar perfectly. They are gorgeous and look so expensive. My husband didn't believe what I spent on all 4. I'm thrilled. ... show more
