Greetings Songmics Direct, I recently purchased the "VASAGLE 5-TIER BOOKSHELF, BOOKCASE FOR OFFICE." The instructions were straightforward, so putting the thing together was a snap; unfortunately, there was a small yet big problem: a misalignment with "One" of the shelves' mounting holes. I want to avoid creating a return ticket, taking it apart, and shipping it back to Amazon for one bookshelf mounting hole. The shelf itself is pretty sturdy and pieces fit together almost perfectly so it was a good buy for the price at the time. I do have one concern that I was disappointed in but not enough to rerun. The color is off. Way off, much darker than the ones I purchased before. See photos. Other than the color I do recommend this item. Pros: Good value for price, sturdy, looks nice, holds a lot of weight, won't sag if completely filled with books Neutral: picture only instructions like Ikea, so be sure to pay attention to which way pieces face or you have to disassemble, but I was able to assemble it by myself Cons: Thee metal pieces don't perfectly align (see picture) and could snag on clothes or other items. The stickers to identify parts needed Goo Gone to completely remove which is super annoying. The anchor screws have to go directly into the top plank. It would be nicer and easier if predrilled holes existed. ... show more

Purchased to display my son's Lego diorama sets and similar items. Love the bar to make sure things can't fall off the back. It assembled easily and was simple enough to understand. I would definitely buy this shelf again.

Be careful with what you put on this shelf. I’m using it as a bookshelf and I have a few candles and small fake plants on it. Any small movement like a bump will make everything fall off because of its instability. I’ve even double checked the tightness of the screws and they’re as tight as can be. Adding a lip to the sides of the shelves would be beneficial or even lowering the bars on the side to help prevent things from sliding off the sides so easily.
