Ordered these for my husband. He has neuropathy in his feet, from standing on ladders for decades and struggles finding comfortable shoes. He said they are not heavy duty enough to wear in the snow and ice, but suitable for wearing out and about. He liked them so well he asked me to order another pair (which I already have).

I really like this boot. That said, it was too big and too loose. I originally bought them for my husband with dementia who can no longer tie his shoes but they were boats on his skinny feet. I wear a half a size larger than my husband. They were even big on me, so I'd recommend ordering a half size down if not a full size down. Them being big on me ended up being a plus, sort of, because they are quick to slip on to walk my dogs. I'd give them a 5, but with heavy use, the inside kind of fell apart after a while. I'm still using them, even wearing them to work when it rains, but if you can't tolerate having smooth surface under your feet, plan to buy an insole after a while with these. They are very water-proof, and good for snow up to about 3 inches. I work outside, and honestly, I might buy another pair when these wear out.

These were better than I expected. I have a narrow foot and added an insert which made them more comfy as well. Also very warm and I'm actually thinking about buying a second pair.

As with most things in life you get what you pay for. Comfortable to wear, but I use mine mostly as house slippers. Definitely not for any type of true hiking. The Velcro fastener is sub standard and hard to keep fastened. If you are looking for a comfortable shoe to wear around the house or go get the mail, a quick trip to the store, these are for you. If your going on a 5-10 mile hike, probably not.
