We liked the clear instructions. Enjoyed spending time with a granddaughter building it. A few things could be improved on it like the strength of the arm is very, very weak and will jump off of the gears easily. Also, the speed control is a little bit. Jumpy is what I would call it. I got this for my 10 year old and he absolutely loves it! It was a fun project. My only issue is that some of the plastic pieces aren’t threaded for the screws so it was difficult to get them screwed. It was more of an inconvenience than anything.     • Mediocre kit
Overall this kit is not worth it. Although it was a durable kit and relatively easy build, the downsides resulted in returning this item. First and least important, the screwdriver included is useless. It is so small that it is all but unusable. The wheel motors all went at slightly different speeds so there was no way to make full use of the omnidirectional abilities. Additionally, they were unable to get decent traction so they were just spinning out. Surfaces that had enough friction that they weren't just spinning provided too much resistance and it barely moved at all. Finally, the ability to record a series of movements is garbage. As you are programming it, it just records and there is no movement so you have to guess how long to go in one direction or another. I assembled this with my 6.5yo son. The instructions were very clear and parts were described well. He was able to do a lot of the assembly himself but some help and general supervision was necessary. Once put together the toy feels solid. Updated review: The seller reached out to me and sent me a replacement. The replaement is new and works perfectly. LOTS of fun. Old review: From the moment I opened the box something seemed off. The robot I received was obviously a returned product. I decided to try to assemble it. There are bolts missing. If that wasnt enough once it was close enough to being assembled I plugged in the motors to test them. The motor that lifts the arm is DOA, (guess now I know why it was returned).     • Great Product. The sellers were excellent to work with.
The robot arm is a lot of fun, easy to assemble (my 7 year old built it), and was better than what I expected for the price. I am more impressed with the sellers. Once we had the arm put together our new dog got a hold of the claw and chewed up the wires. I contacted the seller to see if there were replacement parts. They responded quickly, worked with me, were VERY helpful, and got the part to me I needed. I was very impressed. The seller went above and beyond my expectations. ... show more
