So far, I am very impressed. I have had quite a few laptop bags and backpacks and finally, someone designed one to my specifications! It is not too heavy, it is constructed very well and it is attractive. I was absolutely thrilled that the main compartment had the zipper only at top keeping contents from dribbling out the sides. The opening is adequately large to easily access your belongings. Other cases I have owned had zippers all around the perimeter. It has caused items to dribble out and in one case, the zipper busted and my laptop was damaged. In contrast The Vankean backpack keeps your items secure. The backpack also has sturdy handles at the top which make it so much easier to grab. Having a little experience lugging around a laptop, it is a hidden game changer. I also like the ease of securing the laptop vertically. I put a cushy sleeve on my 15.6 and it fit perfectly fine in the sleeve. There are just two pockets for a laptop and tablet plus a zippered compartment inside. There is also a small pocket for putting charger battery. For the inside, that’s it. Limiting the compartments make it more useable. If you want to keep things neat, use packing cubes for chargers or personal items. Other than that, I loaded my laptop, Ipad and stuffed a few more things in it and was quite happy that it was easy to use, easy to throw on my back and easy to access items. I could even fit my large cup in the side compartment. Finally, I chose the rose color which is really attractive. I’ve always had dark laptop cases, so it is a really nice change. All in all, I highly recommend it. It is great for day to day use, student use and perfect for carryon. ————— Update 10/4: I took it on a trip with me and it was perfect carryon for my laptop. I did kinda overstuff it a bit coming back. But I had two laptop sleeves which added a little bulk. For me, a med size tote bag that zipped up would have been a good companion to it. I bought this to carry my laptop to the coffee shop to work. The laptop and ipad fit in the designated slots perfectly, and the slots have padding. I also appreciate that it has an outside pocket for my water bottle. I ended up taking this to Europe last month. I was able to wear it as a backpack, plus slide the back strap onto my suitcases' extended handle when I didn't want to wear it. It was perfect. I can attest to the fact that it's water-resistant. When I first got it, I knocked a cup of coffee on it, and everything that was zipped shut remained dry inside. I also got caught in a rainstorm, and it remained dry then too. ... show more

I am an avid traveler, I take 2 cruises a year and this backpack is the GREATEST!!! It's very stylish and it's heavy duty. One of the greatest things about this back pack is the fact that it has a luggage sleeve on the back so I can pull the handle from my roll on luggage up and rest my backpack on the top and the handle runs up the spine of the backpack and it doesn't fall off! Standing in line at the cruise terminal sometimes takes a good bit of time to get processed to board the ship. I put my laptop and all it's cords and mouse in it, then place for my cell phone, eye glasses, sun glasses, umbrella, bottled water, I'm diabetic so I have a cold pack I keep my insulin in and the back pack was waterproof so no leaking and it kept my meds cold until I could put in the rooms refridge. This backpack has several bigger pockets so you can put your wallet, passport and boarding documents in one pocket for easy takeout and safety so you don't drop your documentation in the terminal. I was specifically looking for a bag large enough to fit card binders, a playmat tube, dice bags, deck boxes and everything else a card game/card collector would need to carry plus some. My husband and I do a lot of traveling for competitions, and I was tired of lugging my stuff around in a tote bag. I spent over a month shopping for the perfect bag. Finally, I narrowed it down to two - and settled on this one. I was only expecting to fit one decent sized binder in this bag and was happy to see I could fit 2 - PLUS my deck boxes and sleeves inside the main pouch of the bag (the binders are 460 count binders by Vivid I do believe just to give an idea). I do NOT have to fight the bag to zip it up at all. The pockets on the sides were not super deep, however the mat tube fits in them well and I’ve never lost my tube or had to worry it would fall out while walking. The other compartments of the bag are also roomie, especially the zipper part on the front of the bag. I keep my headphones and even some sleeves or a small deck box in it depending on the day. Also, the straps are comfy. The bag is heavy to carry from the top because of all the items I have, but when it’s on my back I barely notice it’s there. I don’t feel like I’m going to topple over from the weight and it doesn’t feel like the weight isn’t distributed evenly like a duffel bag or a tote does. I did include a few picture of some of the minor imperfections of the bag that I found upon opening and organizing the bag the very first time. These are all MINOR and now that I’ve carried it multiple times they do not bother me because they haven’t changed the quality and comfort of the bag when I carry it. Quite honestly I plan on buying another one just to travel with to see family and stay overnight somewhere, the bag is just that great! ... show more
