Several reviewers have said this is the same as the gentle facial cleanser, but the ingredients are not exactly the same--similar, but several differences. Since I am not a dermatologist or scientist or chemist, I assume there are reasons for the differences and so I use them as suggested by Vanicream. THEY ARE ALL AMAZING! Gently cleans without known or suspected carcinogens, vegan, and leaves your skin clean and soft with residue, dryness, or greasiness. They don't test their finished products on animals and use synthetic or vegetable-derived ingredients, but their policy allows for animal testing ONLY IF REQUIRED by regulatory bodies like the FDA. It is a mild, non-irritating cleanser crafted specifically for sensitive or easily irritated skin.     • You will know your skin is clean after using this.
Style: Body Wash
The first thing you will notice about this product is the smaller bottle size. My thoughts were immediately, I bet I'm going to fly through this stuff. So I decided to test a theory, and use smaller amounts and not rinse the washcloth off. I did not end up using very much. When using this product I applied dime sized amounts, and added small amounts of water and product to replace the water lost as I moved to different areas of cleaning. As a guy I wear Degree deodarant which is 48 hr antiperspirant. 48 hours is code for serious chemicals designed to get this to continue to adhere to your skin and work. You can tell it's still on your skin cause you can smell it. Before using this soap I could smell the deodarant. The soap is largely devoid of smells that might confuse whether the deodrant is off or not. After washing with this I could not smell the deodarant at all anymore. It did not feel that the deodarant was still on my skin. I apply deodarant on thick usually, and would normally suds up a washcloth before washing my arm pit areas. This time I did not do that. I used the small amount of soap already on the washcloth and cleaned the area. It was effective. What this product is, and what this product is not: This is an excellent cleanser, it cleans your skins well and is devoid of chemicals that will irritate your skin. However, it is also devoid of chemicals that will moisturize your skin. You might notice after washing with this that your skin feels clean, free of oil, and dry. The reason your skin might feel dry is largely around the no moisturizer in the product. This is a good thing because a great moisturizer for one person is perhaps a great rash for another person. This product allows you to fully clean your skin, and for you to decide what you will moisturize your skin with. Before this I was using Dove Green Tea and Cucumber body wash, and it has their version scents and moisturizers. If you use this soap you'll probably need to apply a body moisturizer. The real gain here is you get to customize what product that will be and likely superior to the moisturizers and scents in an all-in-one body wash like Dove. Applications for this soap: Even if this soap was not your daily go-to, I feel it still has applications in scenarios where skin is highly irritated and you want the least invasive product available. ... show more

My daughter have severe eczema and her dermatologist suggested this brand. The body wash itself is great! It’s very moisturizing on her skin without any irritation. 1 star taken off is because I really wish there’s a pump or something easier to squeeze out of the bottle. The body wash is very thick, so it takes awhile for it to squeeze out of the cap and I have a toddler in the shower cause trouble. If this comes in a pump, I would forever buy this! ... show more
