I got this as a gift for my wife, to see if she had a connection before getting a high quality pan flute. She opened it, put on the mouthpiece, blew into it a couple times and said: "I can't play this", and laid it down. I told her nobody can play anything unless they practice, but that was the first and last time she touched it.... SO... "I" started messing around with it and am enjoying it quite a bit! It's not high dollar, but produces nice rich tones, so I highly recommend it to those who want to spend some time learning a new thing!

I was looking for a wind instrument for myself and my grandkid that was sturdy and easy to use. This one fits the bill. I'm no musician, but this instrument was perfect for my needs. I'm not sure if it is perfectly in tune, but I played some simple recognizable melodies with ease. The mouthpiece makes it easy for both me and the grandkid to play it.

Forget about the high notes, you will not get them. Inexpensive but poor quality, you get what you pay for!!!

The sound is decent but won't have the iconic wood sound that pan flutes have. This is more like a multi-tonal whistle. The slide action clip-on with the case makes it I suppose a fair enough price. Just wish it sounded a bit better.

I love the sound of the Professional Pan Flutes made of Wood. Just had no idea, as I am not Musically inclined, that there would be such a big difference in the sound. This instrument is very much like the very inexpensive Recorders kids get to learn on in elementary school. It would Be Fine for Child, but not adults that really love Music. It was very Sturdy & Case is Awesome. It was my fault for not knowing that a Beginner instrument is not going to sound the same as the Expensive woodwinds.
