I got this as a gift for my wife, to see if she had a connection before getting a high quality pan flute. She opened it, put on the mouthpiece, blew into it a couple times and said: "I can't play this", and laid it down. I told her nobody can play anything unless they practice, but that was the first and last time she touched it.... SO... "I" started messing around with it and am enjoying it quite a bit! The sound is decent but won't have the iconic wood sound that pan flutes have. This is more like a multi-tonal whistle. The slide action clip-on with the case makes it I suppose a fair enough price. Just wish it sounded a bit better.

I love the sound of the Professional Pan Flutes made of Wood. Just had no idea, as I am not Musically inclined, that there would be such a big difference in the sound. This instrument is very much like the very inexpensive Recorders kids get to learn on in elementary school. It would Be Fine for Child, but not adults that really love Music. It was very Sturdy & Case is Awesome. It was my fault for not knowing that a Beginner instrument is not going to sound the same as the Expensive woodwinds. ... show more
