  • Excellent value from this 12 String Guitar from Vangoa!!!
The media could not be loaded. The Vango 12 String Acoustic is an excellent value for the money. This guitar is perfect for beginners wanting to get that 12 string sound or for studio professionals who wants to add another guitar to the arsenal that won't break the bank. Right out of the box I saw that the craftsmanship was good. The frets looked great, the finish on the body was smooth to the touch and the sound was just perfect. The guitar came with a gigbag, tuner and capo. The tuner is awesome and will work with any other stringed instrument. The capo is honestly that great and may not be even worth fooling with. The strings tuned up great thanks to the quality machine heads. The sound of this guitar is full and vibrant and fits in a full band mix very nicely. Watch my video review for more details and to hear the guitar in action. ... show more

  • Vangoa VG41-12CE BK Acoustic Electric 12String Cutaway +Gig bag/Tuner/Capo/Strap/Pix/accessory bag
I’ve been a professional guitarist for many years. I have a Martin 6 String acoustic electric but for some songs I needed a 12 string . I saw this Vangoa acoustic electric drednaught cutaway in the same sort of flat black color as my Martin and thought I would give it a try. I’m glad I did. The instrument is made of Mahogany and as you can see in one of the pictures, it has scalloped bracing. It sounds really good ! Nice highs and because of the build quality, the low end is there. Clear and not muddy. The electronics sound quite good as well with a 4 band eq. It came set up with low action right out of the box. The neck and frets are well done. The Tuners are nice Gotoh type enclosed Tuners that work well. The nut was cut right and no setup needed. The gig bag is good with ample padding for local gigs. It also came with a really good clip on guitar tuner, strap, capo, and some pix and a nice accessory bag. For under $200, this is a bargain. The Chinese craftsmen are getting better each year at building guitars and the detail on this guitar is flawless. It also has binding on the neck and on the top and back of the guitar as well. This is usually where you will see imperfections, but there is none... I took it out to my weekly local acoustic trio gig here in town and it sounded great through our sound system. If you’ve always wanted a 12 string and to not break the bank, I highly recommend this Vangoa model. 😀😀😀 ... show more

  • Good for price, has minor issues
Cool guitar. Comes out of the box set up and doesnt need much adjustment. Sounds very nice, additionally its pretty loud. I would reccomend changing strings when you get yours. The factory strings are cheap and extremely stiff. I broke 2 strings trying to tune this thing for the first time. (Ive been playing guitar for almost 2 years now.) The tuning posts also feel really stiff and cheap. But other than those few issues, it plays and sounds great. ... show more

  • I received this from UPS
I like how the guitar plays and sounds but the condition it came and did not meet my expectations. When I received it I noticed that there was a huge crack that was sticking out of the back which caused the back of the back to start coming off. Then after just two days 3 of the strings snapped and I had to pay $30 for a new set of strings ... show more

  • Not playable, returned it.
Based on reviews, I ordered the Vangoa 12 string. It was terrible. The neck felt like a 2x4, and had flat spots on the back. The action was so high it was unplayable. The strings were the cheapest possible, some kind of reddish bronze or something. I put on a good set of Elixir strings and tried to adjust the truss rod, but turning it did not adjust the neck. The capo was plastic, and did not work at all. The tuner was OK. I realize this is a very cheap guitar, but it still has to be playable. I have a Harley Benton semi-hollow tele that is flawless, and including shipping was $220. So I returned this Vangoa to Amazon, and ordered a Harley Benton Custom Line CLJ-412E NT. I'm sure others had better experiences with Vangoa, but I thought I should share mine. ... show more

  • Front not well-braced. The bridge is pulling up under the tension.
At first, I thought this was a great value for the $$. It sounded great, came with a bunch of accessories (inbuilt preamp/EQ!) and good tuning pegs. Unfortunately, over the year that I've owned this guitar I noticed it wasn't easy to keep in tune. Enough so that I tuned it down from an E to a D to reduce the tension (fairly substantial on a 12 string). When that didn't help, I began to look more closely at the construction of the guitar, and that's when I noticed 2 things: 1) the front of the guitar is visibly pulling up at the bridge. 2) the bridge wasn't fastened (glued?) down completely from side to side. Due to the bulging front, the ends of the bridge show daylight, enough that I can easily slip a piece of paper between the bridge and the body. I brought it in to a luthier to a look at it, and after acknowledging the issue, he refused to work on it. He basically said "You got what you paid for". It would easily cost more for him to repair the Vangoa than it would for me to buy a decent new 12 string. So, now I'm looking at the Fender 820 12-string... ... show more

  • Vangoa does it again!
This is the 3rd Vangoa guitar I've purchased. Once again, I'm not sure how they do it! This is a great guitar for this price point. I had to do a little setting up when I got it, but that's to be expected with most guitars. The accessories that come with it are really cool. I really like the tuner and the gig bag. The guitar plays and sounds really good, the construction and finish are great. I don't know why they aren't charging more for these, they definitely could. It's been awhile since I played a 12 string so I didn't want to spend too much money on something I didn't know if I'd like. I'm glad I bought this one though, just like the other Vangoa guitars I've played it plays and sounds great. ... show more
