As a baritone saxaphone player, these reeds are my favorite. These completely blew my mind within the different modes of playability. My favorite ones out of the pack are the V16 which is well more suited for wind ensemble, and the Zz's for jazz. I highly recommend this although it is on the pricy end unfortunately, but they will last you for a while as long as treated well. ... show more

Great buy! Vandoren is my go to reed, and I knew there were different types. I wanted to try them, but which one? This was great help. When you have a good horn and a good mouthpiece, it comes down to a good reed. I use a YBS-52 and a s80 c star and occasionally a metal berg Larsen. It really helped him understand not only the difference in reed cuts, but also allowed him to find what reed he liked.
