Vandoren reeds are a classic. They are typically high quality and produce a good tone. I have found, however, that they are not the most consistent in strength. Some 3.5s play more like 3s, and some play like 4s. There is also some variation in left/right strength. They hold up well to a long period of playing, but have overall found that they are no better than the cheaper reed options. If you want something budget-friendly, I would recommend Rico as a comparable quality. If you want something higher quality, I love the Boston Sax Shop reeds. ... show more
