I ordered this for my Yamaha 5cm soprano mouthpiece because Yamaha doesn't feel the need to package and sell their mouthpieces with ligatures or covers/caps. I had ordered a ligature which was suppose to be from Yamaha, but it wasn't. I know because I have one that came with my Yamaha sax. Easy to use with just a single screw to tighten. Finish was good and cap fits well. Using on both van Doren S27 and other hard rubber mouthpieces. Proper reed resistence and vibration for the all-around sound I’m looking for.

The clips are shaped to fit the reed, making for a much closer and gapless fit between reed and mouthpiece. Works great paired with the V16.

This made my soprano even more easier to blow. The vibrations and feedback are stronger and the notes are sweeter with this ligature over a leather lig I was using.

I like this ligature for alto, and I’m sure it works great for soprano too, but for some reason it doesn’t fit my Selmer S80 C* mouthpiece. It is too big and when fully tightened doesn’t fit my mouthpiece and reed and thus doesn’t keep them in place at all
