I have a plenty of larger, white dinner plates, but I wanted something a bit more unique and summery. These fit the bill well so far. They arrived securely packaged and without any damage, with a styrofoam shell and padding between each plate. It's worth noting that they came packaged directly in the manufacturer's box which lists the brand/contents, in case you're gifting them. Quality wise, they are weighty but not excessively so. I got the smaller size, which works well for small to moderate portion sizes. The curve/depth of the plate is great for comfortably holding things like pasta, salad, etc. without spills. There are nice natural variations in the pattern between plates. The "white" color option does have a gray blue tint. Durability wise, no issues so far with scratching or chipping from normal silverware or dishwasher use. The surface is smooth, so they are easy to handwash too. These are beautiful, weighty plates, the pattern on each is slightly different which I like. The exposed stoneware ring on the bottom is smooth, so I don't expect any trouble with scratching when they're stacked. They came well packaged, with foam sheets between each plate and a Styrofoam surround.

I received these plates in good condition. They were packaged with strong paper separating each plate. These plates are made of strong porcelain, but not too heavy. The plates are adorned with small polka dots of different sizes and the sides and bottom have a solid color, which makes them unique. They are slightly curved, but not deep like a bowl. The slight curvature makes them great for serving pasta or spaghetti, even though they can be used for serving other foods. I really like serving spaghetti in them. Love these plates. ... show more

This is a set of six Vancasso Pluva dinner plates that measure 10.5" long and 1.1" deep. I love the beautiful, deep medium blue color of these plates, and they look wonderful with the blue stoneware dishes I already have. The decorations around the rim of the plate are called rain stripes, which is a new one on me, but many things are. Still, I haven't seen it yet, and it's gorgeous. These are stoneware plates, fired at temperatures, strong enough to resist scratches under the pressure of 1000 grams. They are microwave, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator safe. These are excellent plates, not too heavy but sturdy, substantial, with a good heft to them, and there's not much you couldn't serve on these plates. They are large enough and sturdy enough for a very large steak, and they don't wiggle around when you try to cut something on them. The design on these plates is hand painted, and they are also available in a set of six 8.5" salad plates. I'd love to have a full set of this beautiful stoneware. Excellent product, a beautiful set of six 10.5" diameter, 1.1" deep, hand painted stoneware with a pattern around the edges called rain stripes, which is something new to me. These are sturdy, not too heavy, but they do have a good heft to them. They have enough room for any meal and don't wiggle around when you cut something on them. This is a beautiful, extremely well made set of six plates, and they're also available in a set of six 8.5" salad plates. This review is for the Vancasso Bubble Blue Dinner Plates Set of 6, 10.5 Inch Dish Set, Microwave & Dishwasher Safe. I use these plates as my main, everyday dinner plates and they hold up well to microwaving and cleaning. They are a little heavier than my nice dishes and slightly lighter than my Rachel Ray plates that have seen better days. The coloring is very nice and they came in a secure box with padding in between each dish to protect them from breaking. If something is microwaved for too long, the bottom of the plates do get pretty warm, just an fyi. Overall, I like these plates very much and would recommend them to others. ... show more

These are beautiful plates. I receives them a few days ago. They were packed well padded and were intact on arrival. Beautiful stoneware plates are safe in oven, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. It’s hard to find such decorative ware that can be placed in dishwasher. I checked the site looking for matching bowls but only found them in a set. Will definitely keep an eye out for bowls! ... show more
