This is a beautiful pair of serving dishes. A differently colored pair is also offered. vancasso calls the pattern "Bohemian,” which is a fair description of patterns that are reminiscent of Polish pottery. My photos show the bowls that come in the “green” set. This sort of busy pattern isn’t for everyone. Our dinnerware and other parts of our table settings are very neutral, and these add a spectacular balance. Mine were well made and finished. Fairly heavy. The firing ring on the bottom was smooth enough to rest on my wooden table. The patterns have line width variations to give the feel of being painted by hand. Maybe they are. The product page doesn’t say. But the inconsistencies seem consistent. They weren’t affected by a trip through the dishwasher. They are microwave safe, but don’t fit in my compact microwave. I can’t imagine that will be an issue in our home, but it might be for you. Check with a tape measure before you order. As serving bowls, they are large. Excellent for potlucks, celebrations, and other gatherings. For our little family of three, these bowls will not be used every day. That will make them even more special.
