Sturdy, strong and well-made pliers. The grips are easy to hold and have a spring so they remain open until you close them. The tips are reliable but not very pointy, so they aren't very useful for when I am making jewelry. To compare with some jewelry needle nose pliers (left), you can see the Vampliers (on the right) are more heavy duty. I'd say this is more like a toolbox needle nose plier than one for jewelry. ... show more

These pliers are great for breadboard wire bending. The spring force is just right. This is a well made tool from Japan. The cheap Chinese ones are too hard to close. This item is high quality.

These are great needle nose pliers with a nice fine point for precision work, they're quality made in Japan. I like the return spring for resistance. I have the equally good red vampliers for screw removal, again excellent.

Absolutely love these. I've a number of vamplier products for my work in industrial maintenance (best screw grabbing pliers ever) and recently I was getting fed up with the micro needle nose pliers I use for lure making, pcb work, and other fine work. Often micro needle nose have too heavy a spring or sit far too open at rest. Comparatively, these vampliers sit open just a tiny bit, less than a quarter inch which makes it phenomenal for grabbing tiny beads or resistors or wire. Just enough spring tension to open them, doesn't try to blast off out of your hand. Longer than your average micro needle nose too. Most of mine only have a jaw depth ranging from .5" to 1-1/4". These vampliers are close to 2" deep and the jaws don't get thick suddenly like many others. Grip is your standard squarish vamplier grip. Surprisingly comfortable and they don't try to spin in your hands if they're greasy or oily. Compared with the well balanced spring it's a very controllable set of pliers. $23 may seem somewhat expensive for some micro pliers when you can find cheap ones for $5 but it's worth it. These are smooth jaw and parallel the whole way down. There's more expensive options that aren't much better if at all so I think the price is acceptable for how nice these are. Amazon is suggesting "time saver" and "ease of removal" and I'm not sure those are accurate terms. All I can say is if you need something a little more robust than tweezers, these are your tool. ... show more

I love them but the freakin spring broke on them just by sitting in my tool bag with some other pliers.. I was very impressed at first and still like them but hate not having the spring anymore due to bad design
