  • For 05-06 Nissan Altima 2.5s
Size: 1 QT
Needed a transmission fluid change. This is the right fluid, the 05 models have no CVT transmissions. I got 4 but since I dropped the filter, valve body, and the shift sillonoid it needed 6 to fill it up enough. I put 4 in and had slipping big time. But 2 more solved that. 10/10✨ it is what it is. • Great ATF for Nissan, Infiniti, and Honda vehicles.
Size: 1 GA, Case of 3
My Nissan calls for a Dextron III equivalent (actually Nissan Matic) ATF. The old Dextron-type Nissan Matic is no longer made, and hard to find. This ATF full synthetic is actually better, and seems to work well in my Nissan Maxima and Infiniti i30 vehicles, which have notoriously finicky requirements for ATF, especially at first startup and go, before the transmission warms up. e.g., cold start performance is very good with this fluid in my experience. I have had problems with many other tries on different fluids, and this fluid seems to be the winning solution. ... show more

  • better
Size: 1 QT
i was a Honda dw1 fluid man until rough shifting on a 2002 Honda accord ex. 1998- 2002 have faulty Transmissons to begin with. reports of complete failure at 150k miles. i tried Castrol trans max with poorer results then Lucas with somewhat better results but still a bump when slowing and accelerating again and a pronounced lousy shift first to second gear. then tried redline, and prolong slick 50, gear lube and other additives some making the shift worse. i drained and filled with Valvoline for imports. it's a full synthetic and so far have had better results than all other fluids mentioned. also, low filling helps. not the recommended fill amount but low on the dipstick hatch mark. ... show more

  • Can't complain about what you get for the price!
Size: 1 QT, Case of 6
This fluid costs about half the price of other fluids, such as Redline D4 and Royal Purple, yet it's performance is well worth the money. In December 2012, I purchased a used 2001 Hyundai Elantra with 71K on it. This transmission requires Hyundai/Kia SPIII fluid or better (this fluid is rated for SPIII and SPIV applications, so it well exceeds the standard for this car). After some weird transmission codes and shifting I wasn't comfortable with, I decided to go ahead and service the transmission. It was past due and the fluid was showing it. I used this fluid and did three drain and fill cycles. After that, my performance did improve noticeably. I did not buy enough fluid this time though, so unfortunately I was stuck reusing some of the fluid from the second and third drain. I just serviced it again after another 30K, and it made a noticeable difference again. This time, I bought enough fluid that I didn't have to re-use what I drained out. Shifting is smooth as butter, almost undetectable now. I bought two cases this time and did two complete drain and fill cycles, putting only new fluid in each time. I changed the filter after the first cycle. I ran it through each gear in a "course" I drove around town after each fill to flush it good and get everything out of the torque converter. I had two quarts left over, so I drained two and put the two back in to get any leftovers that settled in the pan. I torqued the drain plug on my Elantra to 29 foot pounds (range for this transmission is 26-32). One more thing. As long as the fluid you buy is labeled as the correct type for your car, you are okay. Buying an aftermarket fluid will not eat the plastic parts inside your transmission. This is a myth that is floating around the web. While it may have been true in the older days, it isn't so much now since domestic and foreign automakers have parts sourced by the same suppliers in many cases. ... show more

  • Fixes harsh downshift problem in Hyundai Sonata
Size: 1 QT, Case of 6
I'm using this in a 2010 Hyundai Sonata. This fluid, along with pulling the battery cable off for a minute or two (to reset the transmission computer), solved the harsh second gear to first gear downshift problem I had when it was cold. Shifts smooth as can be from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 and back down again too. Hot or cold, all shifts are smooth now. I bought the car used with 81K miles on it already, changed the fluid using this Valvoline product at 85K miles. I've put 30K miles in 1 year on the car with this fluid with zero issues. I could not be happier. Update: Jan 2018, the Sonata had 193K trouble free miles on it when someone turned left in front of us. The insurance declared it a total loss. Bye bye Sonata. But the transmission worked great all this time and had zero issues for the 108K miles in 4 years we put on the car using this Valvoline ATF so it has passed the test of time. It would have probably made it to 300K if not for the T.A. ... show more

  • Known brand, good price
Size: 1 GA
Called Valvoline themselves to ask if I could mix this product with unknown ATF fluid (in the system) and they said it would work with no issues. I do recommend changing all the old fluid so you know it's new and it's been changed. Good value for money for sure

  • Great ATF! Wide variety of vehicles it can be used in too!
Size: 1 QT, Case of 6
Had transmission codes P0713 and P0711 which are transmission temperature sensor codes in my 2011 Kia Sorento. I replaced the sensor with a new OEM one and used Valvoline full synthetic transmission fluid. I thought about using the Max-Life fluid but you get what you pay for and I think the regular fluid lasts longer. My Kia shifts great after replacing the sensor and refilling it with Valvoline Full Synthetic ATF. ... show more
