Should be a 5-star product considering the quality of the gate and ease of installation. However, I also found the gate fitting ring to be a little loose and easily removeable when the outside cap needed to be taken off. After reading the many great reviews and remedies about the same issue one review, in particular, was most noticeable and useable from "Tom Urban". After making the very same upgrade, my new waste gate absolutely will not come off. Best permanent fix I read about involving this product. Really, though, a fix to a new product like this should not have to be made. Therefore, a 4-star rating. Even the manufacturer admits it's a problem when a pin is added to the product to hold the fitting ring tight against the trailer sewer line. Whenever I attach the flex line to the trailer sewer line directly, I always have to use additional force to mate the lines together with a sort of "snap". I think a better designed fitting ring could be manufactured to make a tight connection instead of being loose and using a lock-pin to hold it in place, as it is now. Instead, I drilled a 1/8" hole in the trailer's main sewer line connection closely to the fitting ring and lock arm of the fitting ring. I used a 3/16" x 7/16" spacer and 3/16" x 3/4" sheet metal screw to attach everything tight. Before assembling the upgrade, I added a drop of blue "Lock-Tight" to the screw and drill hole. I then added a dab of red "The Right Stuff" gasket maker to the spacer to eliminate possible leakage. I haven't tried it out yet, but I don't believe this upgrade will loosen or leak and yet I still should be able to remove it without much effort, if I have to. ... show more

    • Clean fix to a messy problem !
I thought it was too easy a solution to an annoying problem. Having a seasonal site and limited access to an affordable RV technician I thought I would give this a try for my black holding tank valve not working properly. I was amazed that it took less than 5 minutes to install and works perfectly. I highly recommend this product. It is sturdy and well-made fits snugly and does not leak.
