…But I am not happy with the product overall. The stated capacity is accurate - *if* you fill the unit completely to the top of the wash tub opening with water (once it is “unfolded” and set up). You can’t use the unit like this, of course, because as soon as you would start the motor, it would begin to slosh all the water out of the tub. So… Real-world use is quite a bit less than this; even if you use only ⅔ of the basin for water, it will still slosh out, even with the “lid” installed. My test of the unit was to wash 5 adult cotton face masks; at a ⅔ level (which is at about the top of the rubber portion of the tub) there was still enough water escaping the tub that it was a big mess, even with the lid installed. Even at a 50% water level, there was a significant amount of water displaced from the tub, and it took 3 rinse cycles total to get the masks completely clean. Let’s talk more about that “lid”. It is a loose piece - it does not lay flat enough to seal on it’s own, and because it arrived warped, there is no hope of preventing water from escaping the tub. I don’t mind that there is no hinge, I don’t mind that it is a single piece, but the fact that it is warped and will not prevent water from escaping is not acceptable. The motor itself is not too noisy; I was impressed with how much enthusiasm it displayed. It does move the water around in the basin, and honestly, if the basin was bigger this could be a much more effective product. Add an old-school impeller (think Speed Queen top-loading washing machine) and you would really have something - if you had a larger tub. But as it is now, it’s actually more motor than the tub can handle gracefully. The controls are a bit finicky, but once you get the hang of it, that’s OK. The labeling of the cycle indicators is very subtle, and fairly small, which can make it difficult to read under certain lighting conditions. There is an indicator light to show which cycle you have selected. Once you have started the machine, click again to cycle through the selections. If you need/want to change cycles during use, press and hold the main button for 3 seconds, then press again until you are on the cycle you want. The drain plug sealed well, and was opened with an appropriate amount of effort. I was able to close and seal the plug, even with water actively draining. Here, however is another issue that I was not comfortable with; after the “spin” cycle, I would open the drain plug to allow the water to exit via the drain. Even with a flat, level surface, all of the water never drained, and in order to make sure that the unit was completely empty of water, we had to turn it upside down in the sink (after unplugging the electrical connection). There was no drain hose provided, so we had to position the unit right next to a sink to drain it. I used approximately ½ teaspoon of HE liquid detergent, and after 3 “rinse” cycles, the masks were very clean. The small basket that is provided for the “spin dry” function is not very useful; it was much faster to simply roll up the items in a clean cotton towel to remove excess water and then hang them to dry. If you do try the basket, it snaps in to place (there are slots on the bottom of the basket that fit the little “fins” on the top of the wash unit) and to remove the basket, you will simply grasp one side of the basket and pull firmly towards the opposite side of the basket, and the basket should pop out. The lid did prove handy when I flipped it upside down to hold the wet wash before rolling it in the towel. The unit comes with a power supply that has a large black box at the wall plug, and a small jack plug that goes into the back of the unit, very near the bottom. I was not entirely comfortable with this; given how much water was being sloshed around, there was a real concern about potential electrical/electrocution issues. I hope the manufacturer will consider a more waterproof solution for the next version. I understand why there is a removable electrical cord (easier for storage purposes) but safety first, always. I use it for washing bras. Depending on how dirty they are, I'd only wash one or two items at a time. I did not expect it to get as clean as a regular washer because it's much more gentle. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind, It will serve you well to let the item soak if it is something youve worn more than once (like a bra). If you are worried about fading just let it soak with water and no detergent for 30 mins. The only reason I did not give it full stars, is that I wish the spin function got the items a little more dry. This is certainly more convenient than hand washing and ringing something out. ... show more

The folding washing machine is exactly as pictured and is easy to use right out of the box. If you are thinking about buying this, just remember it's pretty small not going to be able to handle a lot of items at once but since it's so easy to use, you can wash several items in a small amount of time. Easy to fill up and empty. I like that you can use the "spin" cycle with the little basket to help to spin the water out of the items you washed before hanging to dry. It has little suction feet on the bottom and if you have those suction to the floor or wherever you are using it- it doesn't move around. ... show more

We bought this to wash bar mop towels (about a dishtowel size) that we use for some of our birds. Long story, doesn't matter here, but they get pooped on. Rather than hand washing them all, which can get gross in a hurry, I soak, light scrub for big chunks, then into the machine with bleach and detergent. It can wash 4 of them at a time. It is working very well so far, have used it for over 50 cycles at this point. We don't have to save up a big pile of the rags to put into the big machine at once. A few minutes a day to wash a few with bleach keeps us caught up and the rags sterilized. When I unboxed the machine and tried to fill it with water, it all immediately ran out the bottom of the machine. ??! Apparently, the drain hose came off the spigot. The spigot is held on with 2 side tabs, so I carefully pried it off, reattached the hose, and popped the spigot back in. Has been fine ever since. I tested the small spin dry basket with one mop, and like others have reported, it just makes the item drip-free, but still significantly wet. These bar mops are heavy cotton towels, so not unexpected. Wringing will be required except for the very lightest and thinnest of fabrics. This machine would be ideal for people who need to do small items frequently in special washing cycles and would normally wash by hand. It helps automate the hand washing process, and does a pretty good job of it overall. ... show more

I basically bought this to take on vacation to put bathing suits in to freshen them up between use. It works fine, seem to do a pretty decent job of cleaning for such a small machine. Just keep in mind it does not dry your clothes and the spin cycle is not comparable to what a full size machine can do. But for something that doesn’t take up a lot of room, it’s great for washing items in a pinch! ... show more
